We are reaching out on behalf of a courageous mother who has been navigating serious mental health challenges, including PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, and major depression. Since 2023, these struggles have intensified.

In April 2023, a lightning strike during a severe storm caused a fire in her duplex. Her landlord’s side was severely damaged, while her basement suffered water damage. The space where her family gathered and her kids did homework was left unusable. While they were physically safe, the trauma of that night has had a lasting impact.

Since then, she’s struggled to feel safe or connected to her home. Despite renting a dumpster, hiring professional help, and following her psychologist’s advice, the clutter and disarray remain overwhelming. She has been trying for two years, but it’s become clear she cannot do this alone.

At the encouragement of her support team at Treetops, she is reaching out again. We’re seeking help with organizing, decluttering, and light cleaning. A shelf or storage support would also make a big difference.

This boy is approximately 5 foot 11 inches and 360 pounds, his waist-size is 46 inches (XXXL), and he likely wears a men's size XXXXXL (5-x) t-shirt. A family of five with one on the way (Mom is 22 weeks along) has fallen on extremely hard times. Not only is the pregnancy very high risk to both mom and baby, but both parents have lost their jobs and are unable to pay their rent for next month despite doing odd jobs, such as Uber, in order to meet their bills while they look for employment and complete their studies. Both of these parents are also full-time aviation mechanics students that look forward to a future in this field, but they still have a year or more left until they graduate. This family has faced homelessness before, but the stakes are higher now that Mom is pregnant. Between rent and utilities, they find themselves facing an uphill battle against time and are at maximum stress levels. Would you consider helping?

An aging out foster youth who has been in care for over 9 years idue to neglect and abuse from both a parent and a past caregiver is in need of household items as she moves out of foster care. She became pregnant as a teen and she and her fiance saved to be able to get their own apartment. Both work full time, and care for their baby together. Youth will starting an EKG program in the fall, and the fiancé is attending community college as well. Their income is limited and they spent their savings for the move and larger furniture, but are in need of a toaster, a comforter set, bathroom set, silverware set, cotton towels, and kitchen tool set. Youth does not have the financial support of any parents or family. A father at Point Church has recently regained custody of his three children and could use some clothing items for them. He is in need of a few shirts, a few pairs of shorts, a pair of pajamas, a few pairs of socks and underwear, and a pair of shoes for his 5-year-old daughter (clothing size 5-6, shoe size 11-13), 7-year-old daughter (clothing size 8-10, underwear size 10-12, shoe size 12-13), and 10-year-old son (clothing size 14, shoe size 5). Secondhand clothing in good condition is fine. It would be a blessing for them to have these items by July 11.

Young Spanish speaking couple just had 3rd child 6 weeks ago. Momma has not been able to get back to work yet and they are struggling on one income to make rent due beginning of July! We have been connected to a family who is fostering through DHHS. This foster family has placement of 3 little children (ages from 4-8) that they are in the process of adopting. They had their washing machine and air conditioning break down in the same week and only had the funds to replace one, so they prioritized the air conditioning for the summer heat wave we had this past week. The family had a high capacity 5.3 cu-ft top-load washing machine to be able to meet with laundry demands of their family and would like their replacement to have a similar capacity and similarly top-loading. The youngest child has some higher needs and frequently wets the bed which requires regular use of a washing machine for larger bedding items. The family consulted a technician who reported the costs of the repair for the washing machine would be at least $800 and the technician recommended buying a new one over paying for repairs. The listed cost is for a 5.3 cu-ft top-load with delivery from Lowe's.

A mom and her five children urgently need to relocate due to an escalating domestic violence situation. After leaving an abusive relationship four years ago and working hard to build a stable life, her safety has once again been compromised. She has made the decision to move to another state where she has supportive family and has already secured permission to transfer her housing voucher and end her current lease. The family would like to rent a U-haul to transport their household to their new location.A quote for the U-haul has been acquired and totals: $1,375.97 Gift cards to Walmart or Amazon ($300) would also be helpful in setting up their new home once they arrive.
