Both of these parents are also full-time aviation mechanics students that look forward to a future in this field, but they still have a year or more left until they graduate. This family has faced homelessness before, but the stakes are higher now that Mom is pregnant. An aging out foster youth who has been in care for over 9 years idue to neglect and abuse from both a parent and a past caregiver is in need of household items as she moves out of foster care. She became pregnant as a teen and she and her fiance saved to be able to get their own apartment. Both work full time, and care for their baby together. Youth will starting an EKG program in the fall, and the fiancé is attending community college as well. Their income is limited and they spent their savings for the move and larger furniture, but are in need of a toaster, a comforter set, bathroom set, silverware set, cotton towels, and kitchen tool set. Youth is a 14 year old who boy recently was placed back with his mom on a 60 day trial. Mom has medical disabilities that make it hard for her to do some tasks. Now that Youth is back in the home, we are asking for assistance for mom with hauling away old furniture to clear out space, moving furniture to accommodate Youth and also an adult sibling with special needs that is moving into the home, and cleaning and painting the bedroom. This family would benefit from support from a community that wants to be hands on and engage with them.

The haul away is for furniture and could likely be done with a pickup or truck for a community that wanted to meet the family and help in that way.

A father at Point Church has recently regained custody of his three children and could use some clothing items for them. He is in need of a few shirts, a few pairs of shorts, a pair of pajamas, a few pairs of socks and underwear, and a pair of shoes for his 5-year-old daughter (clothing size 5-6, shoe size 11-13), 7-year-old daughter (clothing size 8-10, underwear size 10-12, shoe size 12-13), and 10-year-old son (clothing size 14, shoe size 5). Secondhand clothing in good condition is fine. It would be a blessing for them to have these items by July 11.

Parent5s lost their 2-month-old daughter on June 8th. Both parents have been navigating through the loss emotionally but are requesting support financially to cover expenses. Funeral services is set for June 30th, 2025, in New York. But the burial is set to happen in Maryland. They have 7 children that would attend the New York services, any financial support would be appreciated from the family as these are difficult time, and the tragedy occurred rapidly.

We have been connected to a family who is fostering through DHHS. This foster family has placement of 3 little children (ages from 4-8) that they are in the process of adopting. They had their washing machine and air conditioning break down in the same week and only had the funds to replace one, so they prioritized the air conditioning for the summer heat wave we had this past week. The family had a high capacity 5.3 cu-ft top-load washing machine to be able to meet with laundry demands of their family and would like their replacement to have a similar capacity and similarly top-loading. The youngest child has some higher needs and frequently wets the bed which requires regular use of a washing machine for larger bedding items. The family consulted a technician who reported the costs of the repair for the washing machine would be at least $800 and the technician recommended buying a new one over paying for repairs. The listed cost is for a 5.3 cu-ft top-load with delivery from Lowe's.

A mom and her five children urgently need to relocate due to an escalating domestic violence situation. After leaving an abusive relationship four years ago and working hard to build a stable life, her safety has once again been compromised. She has made the decision to move to another state where she has supportive family and has already secured permission to transfer her housing voucher and end her current lease.
