The baby was in foster care after being born and the mother has worked very hard to get the child out of care, keep a safe environment for him and continue with her parenting education. I’m reaching out on behalf of a single mother of three who is facing an incredibly difficult and urgent situation. A singe mother of 2 with the 7 year old who has epilepsy and requires specialized treatment. During the last two months the younger child required multiple doctors visits and specialty visits to Stanford Children's Neurosurgery Center. This has put a major financial strain and hardship on the mother. With additional unforeseen costs of travel, medical bills, prescription costs, and lost time from work.
