I’m reaching out on behalf of a family in our community who is going through a tough time. They are a hardworking household with 3 children, they’re currently facing a hardship with their electricity bill. The total amount needed to avoid late fees & potential shutoff is $351.40 due by July 7th. With temperatures rising and the kids at home during summer break, this support would ensure they have a safe, livable home with working lights, AC, and the ability to refrigerate food and medication. A grandmother received temporary custody of two of her grandchildren (10yr old boy and 4-yr old nonverbal autistic girl). Grandmothers' son also lives in the home with a 4-yr old autistic girl, 2-yr old boy and their mother. Grandmother also took in a 15-yr old male. Grandmother has some physical disabilities and needs some tools to look after these children. Nonverbal autistic 4-yr old recently escaped the home at night and was almost hit in traffic before being caught by a neighbor. This grandmother is doing everything she can to protect these children but needs some tools to make an environment fit for taking care of these children.

Request Details: A single mother of three children (ages 3 to 8) is facing an extremely difficult season. Her 8-year-old son was recently diagnosed with leukemia and is undergoing treatment, which required her to resign from her job in order to care for him full-time.

She is also currently expecting twins (a boy and a girl) and does not have any baby items or support prepared for their arrival. The financial strain of her son’s illness and loss of income has left her unable to pay her rent and utilities, now totaling $2,000, and she is at immediate risk of becoming homeless.

We have engine trouble in help in getting to work, my car is not covered

A singe mother of 2 with the 7 year old who has epilepsy and requires specialized treatment. During the last two months the younger child required multiple doctors visits and specialty visits to Stanford Children's Neurosurgery Center. This has put a major financial strain and hardship on the mother. With additional unforeseen costs of travel, medical bills, prescription costs, and lost time from work. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated to help this family with this urgent need as they are facing eviction. We would like to help reduce any additional stress that would trigger any seizures episodes from occurring from having to move. Your help will keep this young family from becoming unhoused.
