A local woman had to take emergency placement of her two nephews from Illinois unexpectedly this weekend. The boys are 3 and 5 years old, and they only came with the clothing on their backs. This is an extremely stressful time for the family, with the additional stress of various serious health concerns for many of the family members. On top of that, funds from DHHS are depleted and can't help financially support this family to get established in Michigan. We are asking for a Shell gas card to help with transportation needs.

We are reaching out on behalf of a loving great-grandmother who has stepped up in a time of need to care for her young grandson. She was the only family member both willing and able to provide him with a safe and stable home. Recently, her roommate moved out, leaving her with the full responsibility of the household expenses. As a result, she is now in urgent need of $400 to cover rent this month. We’re asking our community to come together and support this family during this critical time. Any contribution, big or small, would make a meaningful difference in helping them stay in their home. This child has no other available placement options, and this is the only placement the child has requested. The child would greatly benefit from staying in this placement due to being kinship.

A 17-year-old mother is currently raising her 1-year-old daughter while staying at the Ramada Inn with her own mother, brother, and two sisters. Due to her current circumstances, she is unable to work and is struggling to meet some basic needs for herself and her child. She is in need of clothing in women’s sizes Medium or Large, including shorts and shirts. Her daughter is in need of several essential items that the mother has difficulty providing. These items include size 5 diapers, wipes, milk, 2T clothing, shoes (size 6C), and sippy cups with a soft, squishy nipple. Additional items that would be helpful include a foldable highchair, a car seat (not infant-sized), and toys or activities that can help entertain the child while living in a hotel room. Any support would be a tremendous help to this young mother as she navigates a very challenging season.

A mother and her four children have recently moved out of a shelter and into stable housing. She is doing everything she can to create a safe, comfortable, and organized home for her family. As she works to maintain their new living situation, she is in need of a few essential items. Specifically, she is requesting a queen mattress (she already has a bed frame) or an air mattress so that she can sleep comfortably. Additionally, she is in need of two dressers or storage bins to help organize her children’s clothing and keep their home clean and clutter-free. Any support provided would be a great help to this hardworking mom as she continues building a stable foundation for her children.

Requesting bikes for 3 kiddos as they have no outdoor activities currently and desire to have bicycles to ride! Two boys who are 10 and 12 and a 6-year-old girl who probably needs training wheels. Thank you for your care!

A blessed opportunity to help a young, Christian family make it through a very difficult time in the heat of summer. A mother and father trying to secure a roof over their young children and feed their family. Tragically, the mother just lost her baby during delivery; father had to take time off from work to take care of her. He is back working but they are behind a few paychecks.

They need help to stay in a hotel for 2 weeks while they save money to rent an apartment (the apartment isn't ready yet). They could also use help with essentials and food.

If we can help them now, it will stabilize their income and resources for the future.

A family recently had to flee their family home and move into an apartment to escape domestic violence. They are starting over and need basic cleaning items, household items, toiletries, and grocery items. A Walmart gift card would greatly assist this family. Any donation is appreciated.

Single mother is in the process of moving into more affordable housing and working to improve her financial situation. She is experiencing major health issues which make it difficult for her to work and support her middle school aged daughter. She could use some help with some utility bills this month.

We currently are fostering 3 children and want to continue to make their experience meaningful. We have a 12 year old girl who could use some basketball shoes (size 7.5) and probably extra socks. We also have a sibling set ( girl 2, boy 1) who could use some pajamas. She wears 3T and he’s in 18month. Diapers and wipes are always needed. Thank you so much!

There is a single mom within our community who is in great need of assistance. She has two little children (girl -2, boy-1) and is expected to deliver her 3rd child. She has no items for the baby which is expected to be delivered in 1 week. We are trying to provide her with love and support during this crises. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated. She is in need of an infant carseat, crib/bassinette/playyard, wipes, diapers, clothing for newborn girl (sleepers/onesies), receiving blankets, bottles,(carseat stroller).
