I'm reaching out on behalf of a resilient young man currently navigating life as a Non-Minor Dependent (NMD), working hard to build a future for himself in the trades. Despite limited resources, he shows up every day, borrowing tools from co-workers just to get the job done. This dependence, though met with kindness, leaves him vulnerable and often unable to work independently. With a basic set of tools of his own, he would gain not only the ability to fully perform his duties but also a sense of pride, stability, and ownership in his growing career. Your support would not just provide equipment—it would empower a young man striving to stand on his own feet.

"The non-minor dependent (NMD) came to the attention of DCFS and the Court when she was in the 4th grade. She was removed from both parents due to their severe mental health challenges and homelessness. A church member later became her legal guardian and cared for her until she graduated from high school and enrolled in college.

Unfortunately, due to her own mental health struggles, she was unable to complete her first semester and withdrew from college. She temporarily returned to her former legal guardian’s home, where she has stayed for the past 10 months. However, the guardian’s family is now facing their own challenges and has asked her to move out by 6/30/25.

The former guardian helped her find a small, rented room near their workplace and continues to support her transition to independent living. Although the NMD is still struggling with mental health and independence, she is motivated and willing to work toward full self-sufficiency over the next year.

She is in need of a twin-size bed and other basic household items to settle into her new space. "

Hello, a family in the community is in need of a dumpster in order to deep clean and downsize their home! This family has continued to display motivation and resilience to accomplish goals, and this would be a huge help in completing this task!

HeartReach received a call from a client asking if we could help her obtain a twin size bed for her fast growing 3 1/2 year old daughter as she has outgrown her toddler bed. She is actively engaging with support services and doing an amazing job building a healthy life for herself and her daughter. Her income is limited and she shared that her boyfriend's hours were recently cut at work and they are feeling the strain on their finances. After chatting with her further it was determined that she would also need the bedding and pillow to go with the new bed frame and mattress. She shared that her daughter loves pink and blue, unicorns, Stitch, Bluey and Care Bears.

We currently are fostering 3 children and want to continue to make their experience meaningful. We have a 12 year old girl who could use some basketball shoes (size 7.5) and probably extra socks. We also have a sibling set ( girl 2, boy 1) who could use some pajamas. She wears 3T and he’s in 18month. Diapers and wipes are always needed. Thank you so much!

We want to share the story of a courageous single mother who recently took a huge step forward. After experiencing homelessness, she entered the Pearl’s Hope program and has worked tirelessly to build a better life for herself and her 8-month-old son — who she has now joyfully reunified with.

When she arrived at the program, she brought all she could for her baby, but only had two outfits for herself and a single pair of flip-flops.

Today, she’s proud to be working as a cashier — on her feet for hours each day — and she’s asking for a small lift to keep going strong.

There is a single mom within our community who is in great need of assistance. She has two little children (girl -2, boy-1) and is expected to deliver her 3rd child. She has no items for the baby which is expected to be delivered in 1 week. We are trying to provide her with love and support during this crises. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated. She is in need of an infant carseat, crib/bassinette/playyard, wipes, diapers, clothing for newborn girl (sleepers/onesies), receiving blankets, bottles,(carseat stroller). 🟧 Urgent Help for Single Mother of 3 Facing Homelessness While Caring for Child with Leukemia

Request Details: A single mother of three children (ages 3 to 8) is facing an extremely difficult season. Her 8-year-old son was recently diagnosed with leukemia and is undergoing treatment, which required her to resign from her job in order to care for him full-time.

She is also currently expecting twins (a boy and a girl) and does not have any baby items or support prepared for their arrival. The financial strain of her son’s illness and loss of income has left her unable to pay her rent and utilities, now totaling $2,000, and she is at immediate risk of becoming homeless.

This mother is in urgent need of:

Housing and utility assistance ($2,000 need) Gas cards to travel to and from her son's medical appointments Newborn baby items (clothes, diapers, bottles, blankets, etc.) Your support will provide this family with stability, hope, and relief during an incredibly trying time.
