This family is requesting assistance in purchasing 3-4 cans of formula(Enfamil NeuroPro Enfacare-blue can) for their infant daughter. She was born premature and has recently started eating more formula. The family is a one income home, due to mom having to stay at home to care for the baby, who has medical needs. The family also consists of 3 other children the parents provide for financially. Formula for their infant would help to ensure her growth and wellbeing.

I have a single mother of 3 children under 10 to which the youngest child has started walking. Due to limited financial resources the mother is unable to purchase 2 baby gates. The family would benefit form having 2 baby gates as it would prevent the child from being able to climb stairs and access the kitchen on his own.

The children are residing with a family member to assist mother her case plan goals. The caregiver needs beds to facilitate a safe and appropriate sleeping quarters for the three children. The items that are needed are one set of bunk beds, two twin mattress, and two twin comforter sets. Also, a toddler bedframe, toddler bed, and toddler comforter. All three children are female. Relative caregiver is on a limited source of income helping the family was unexpected and did not allow her time to prepare for the children arrival. Although, relative caregiver is having that challenge, caregiver is meeting the case plan goals/court orders. Furthermore, caregiver is committed to providing the three younger children with housing until mother can secure housing while the shelter, she is residing in does not have room to accommodate all seven children which is why the younger three are placed temporarily with family. The main reason I am requesting this need to be fulfilled is because the children need proper bedding to facilitate a safe sleeping environment. If this need is not meet for the younger three children, they risk the possibility of being taken back into DCFS custody and reunification services begin again.

This need is being requested through Care Portal because unfortunately DCFS will not provide the items in a timely manner and possibly take up to 8 – 10 weeks. The estimated cost of the need/s being requested is $1,185.00 dollars.

We’re reaching out to help a kind and hardworking mother of five who is in urgent need of a washing machine. Her current washer has stopped working, and with a new baby on the way, keeping up with laundry has become a real challenge — even though she still has a dryer. She rarely asks for help, but this support would bring much-needed relief. Her children are doing well in school, earning good grades, and staying out of trouble — a reflection of her love and dedication. This foster mom has moved mountains to provide a home for three teens. Now she is opening her home to another hard-to-place teenager. As she prepares for this teen, he will need to share home with another teen in the home. In order for both teen boys to share a room she is in need of two twin beds. Will you come beside this foster mom by providing a mattress to call theirs that will fit in the bedroom they will share?

A blessed opportunity to help a young, Christian family make it through a very difficult time in the heat of summer. A mother and father trying to secure a roof over their young children and feed their family. Tragically, the mother just lost her baby during delivery; father had to take time off from work to take care of her. He is back working but they are behind a few paychecks.

They need help to stay in a hotel for 2 weeks while they save money to rent an apartment (the apartment isn't ready yet). They could also use help with essentials and food.

If we can help them now, it will stabilize their income and resources for the future.

A family recently had to flee their family home and move into an apartment to escape domestic violence. They are starting over and need basic cleaning items, household items, toiletries, and grocery items. A Walmart gift card would greatly assist this family. Any donation is appreciated.

Single mother is in the process of moving into more affordable housing and working to improve her financial situation. She is experiencing major health issues which make it difficult for her to work and support her middle school aged daughter. She could use some help with some utility bills this month.

We currently are fostering 3 children and want to continue to make their experience meaningful. We have a 12 year old girl who could use some basketball shoes (size 7.5) and probably extra socks. We also have a sibling set ( girl 2, boy 1) who could use some pajamas. She wears 3T and he’s in 18month. Diapers and wipes are always needed. Thank you so much!

There is a single mom within our community who is in great need of assistance. She has two little children (girl -2, boy-1) and is expected to deliver her 3rd child. She has no items for the baby which is expected to be delivered in 1 week. We are trying to provide her with love and support during this crises. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated. She is in need of an infant carseat, crib/bassinette/playyard, wipes, diapers, clothing for newborn girl (sleepers/onesies), receiving blankets, bottles,(carseat stroller).
