I am Next is a non-profit organization in Nashville working with youth 18-24 that are aging out of foster care. We provide housing support as well as resources to help with the transition. We are in need of new pillows and Full/Queen bedding and sheets.

Mother is a devoted, mother of seven children, ages 5-18. The case came to the attention of DCFS due to physical abuse, general neglect and caretaker incapacity. Ms. Washington works tirelessly to rebuild her life and reunify with her children who are not currently in her care. She is overcoming financial hardships while staying committed to her sobriety. She diligently works to complete Court ordered programs. In addition to working temporary and odd jobs to make ends meet to maintain stable residence in prearrange of reunifying with her children. As part of her progress, her older children now have unsupervised visits, but the home lacks essential furniture to sit and sleep comfortably. This is an urgent need as the Court reported that the children are fast tracked to return to mother's care on 05/07/25. This request will ensure children's safety as the residence will be clean and furnished with beds so they won't have to sleep on the floor. This request will strengthen parental capacity by providing emotional and physical care. This request will lessen her stressors and free up some of her time to spend with her children ultimately enhance the potential for permanency. Any help, big or small, will bring her one step closer to providing a stable and loving home for her children. If you can contribute in any way, it would mean the world to this mother and her family. Two parents are in need of bus passes as they do not currently have a car. With the bus passes they will be able to make it to visits with their children, court hearings, their work and their required services. Providing these passes will help these parents keep making good progress towards reunification with their kids.

This family of four includes mom and 3 children (14, 9, 5). Family came to the attention of DCFS due to physical/emotional abuse from father. Mother has relocated herself and the children away from father. As a result, mother is experiencing financial hardship without father's assistance. Family lives in a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom home and they are in need of a sofa bed that seats three people. A sofa bed will provide a more comfortable living and sleeping space for the entire family, thereby increasing the safety and general well-being of the children and reducing stress and anxiety for mother allowing her to focus more on her family and reallocate her already limited resources to other needs for her children.

I am writing to request support on behalf of Mother, who is currently involved with our agency and actively working toward reunification with her children. Mother has successfully completed all court-ordered services and continues to demonstrate commitment to her personal growth and family well-being by regularly attending outpatient services.

Mother has recently secured stable housing and moved into her new apartment. As she works to rebuild a safe and nurturing environment for her family, she is in need of basic household essentials to help her establish a functional and supportive home setting for herself and her children.

Providing Mother with this assistance will not only support her transition into independent living but also further her progress toward successful reunification. We believe that with this support, she will continue to build on the positive momentum she has achieved thus far.

A blessed opportunity to help a young, Christian family make it through a very difficult time in the heat of summer. A mother and father trying to secure a roof over their young children and feed their family. Tragically, the mother just lost her baby during delivery; father had to take time off from work to take care of her. He is back working but they are behind a few paychecks.

They need help to stay in a hotel for 2 weeks while they save money to rent an apartment (the apartment isn't ready yet). They could also use help with essentials and food.

If we can help them now, it will stabilize their income and resources for the future.

A family recently had to flee their family home and move into an apartment to escape domestic violence. They are starting over and need basic cleaning items, household items, toiletries, and grocery items. A Walmart gift card would greatly assist this family. Any donation is appreciated.

Single mother is in the process of moving into more affordable housing and working to improve her financial situation. She is experiencing major health issues which make it difficult for her to work and support her middle school aged daughter. She could use some help with some utility bills this month.

We currently are fostering 3 children and want to continue to make their experience meaningful. We have a 12 year old girl who could use some basketball shoes (size 7.5) and probably extra socks. We also have a sibling set ( girl 2, boy 1) who could use some pajamas. She wears 3T and he’s in 18month. Diapers and wipes are always needed. Thank you so much!

There is a single mom within our community who is in great need of assistance. She has two little children (girl -2, boy-1) and is expected to deliver her 3rd child. She has no items for the baby which is expected to be delivered in 1 week. We are trying to provide her with love and support during this crises. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated. She is in need of an infant carseat, crib/bassinette/playyard, wipes, diapers, clothing for newborn girl (sleepers/onesies), receiving blankets, bottles,(carseat stroller).
