We are coming alongside a young couple who are about to welcome their first baby. She is 17 years old and just graduated high school, and he is 16 and currently finishing his senior year at a high school in Santa Ana. Becoming new parents at such a young age comes with many challenges especially when it’s difficult to find steady employment at their age.

As they prepare for the arrival of their newborn, one of the most helpful ways we can support them is by helping with baby essentials. They are in need of clothing for their newborn, and a Target gift card would allow them to get diapers, wipes, and other important items. Groceries would also be a huge blessing as they begin adjusting to life as a young family.

This is a time of transition, full of unknowns, but also full of love and hope. We want to make sure they feel supported and seen as they take this big step into parenthood. We are so grateful for any support that helps lighten the load for them.

Hi we have young mom that is 19 years old, recently graduated from high school, and is preparing to start her first year at community college. She has worked incredibly hard to get to this point all while raising her child as a single mother.

Right now, she is staying with a friend while she waits to move into her new apartment on the 15th. This transition represents a major step toward stability and independence for her and her baby.

As she gets ready to move in, one essential item still needed is a refrigerator. This is a critical need to ensure she can store food safely for herself and her child. It’s a key piece in helping her establish a healthy and stable home as she begins this next chapter.

On July 31, 2025 there will be a Back to School Fair at Platte County Health Department. Our goal is to provide low-income students and families of Platte County an equal and safe opportunity for school readiness by enriching physical, mental, and social well-being. In 2024, 885 children were provided with backpacks, hygiene packets, eye screenings, dental screenings, sports physicals, vaccines, and access to community resources. We are still in need of individually bagged earbuds. Each child receives earbuds in their backpack to be used in the classroom. (The items we puchase for the backpacks are based ont he lists the schools provide us.) We have previously found the earbuds on amazon in bulk $22.00 per 50 count. This would help to finish up the final items needed for the backpacks. We are in need of 200 earbuds total.

This Grandmother raised her Granddaughter since she was 2 yrs old, she became a nurse and is now married with 2 babies. She has been in my support group for 16 years. and has done an amazing job. Unfraternally On Monday her daughter passed away of Cancer and she now needs to raise her two grandsons 9 and 14 both with autism, she needs a Full-size bed for the 14-yr old, and a sofa set for family use and where she can sleep since she has to give up her bedroom for the boys. This placement will be informal. So, there will not be any financial assistance for the boys. With the funeral expenses she is very strapped. And she is on SSI.

A 34 year old raising her 17 yrs daughter, had to take on the responsibility of her 2 sisters and 1 brother after mother passed away from heart surgery. She works as a dental office and is an uber eat driver and IHSS care provider she is working 3 jobs to stay at float. Her daughter and sister are starting College at SUN and need a laptop computer each and purchase books. She does not have the ability to cover this even with 3 jobs she is scraping by. The increased responsibilities and food and utilities she is struggling, she was hopeful someone could assist with this need for the girls they are really good student and need the basic items to get them through, i also wanted to ask for a gift card for food and toiletry,

A single mom with 2 children, ages 5 and 1 has experienced some unexpected financial expenses and is currently behind on her rent. The mom is employed working 2 jobs, but does not get any other support such as child support or food stamps to help. She has to pay for daycare in order to be able to work. In addition, she had an aunt to die unexpectedly and this caused further financial strain as she had to take off work. She is asking for $1000 to pay for her rent. She is a Christian mom. Any assistance would be sincerely appreciated.

A blessed opportunity to help a young, Christian family make it through a very difficult time in the heat of summer. A mother and father trying to secure a roof over their young children and feed their family. Tragically, the mother just lost her baby during delivery; father had to take time off from work to take care of her. He is back working but they are behind a few paychecks.

They need help to stay in a hotel for 2 weeks while they save money to rent an apartment (the apartment isn't ready yet). They could also use help with essentials and food.

If we can help them now, it will stabilize their income and resources for the future.

A family recently had to flee their family home and move into an apartment to escape domestic violence. They are starting over and need basic cleaning items, household items, toiletries, and grocery items. A Walmart gift card would greatly assist this family. Any donation is appreciated.

Single mother is in the process of moving into more affordable housing and working to improve her financial situation. She is experiencing major health issues which make it difficult for her to work and support her middle school aged daughter. She could use some help with some utility bills this month.

We currently are fostering 3 children and want to continue to make their experience meaningful. We have a 12 year old girl who could use some basketball shoes (size 7.5) and probably extra socks. We also have a sibling set ( girl 2, boy 1) who could use some pajamas. She wears 3T and he’s in 18month. Diapers and wipes are always needed. Thank you so much!
