The family is in need of a black dressers, a dining table, and window locks for her children’s upstairs bedroom. Although she desires to purchase these items, she has been unable to do so. Despite this challenge, mother is compliant with court orders and case plan goals by meeting monthly with CSW and ensuring the children are available. A referral was submitted for Family Preservation to assist with time management and parenting support. Mother is committed to maintaining her children in her care and has demonstrated strengths, including consistency with family time, compliance with DCFS, and advocacy for her children. She provides stable housing and is focused on keeping her children safe. These items are essential to create a safe, clean home environment. The children currently have nowhere to store their clothes, no dining table to eat at, and the upstairs windows are unsafe. Mother recently moved into the home and is working and attending school, but is struggling financially to purchase these items. DCFS is requesting the following: black dressers, window locks, and a dining table. Without them, the children’s safety and needs cannot be fully met.
