21 years old and emancipated out of agency custody at age 18. She has finally obtained her own apartment through a housing voucher specific to youth who have transitioned from foster care to adulthood. Below is a list of items that we would provide to an emancipated youth under the age of 21. This youth has no support from no family. This support will help this young lady get on her feet and help her with confidence while she attempts to navigate the real world. This support will take a little bit of stress from this young person life,

The foster home is needing a dresser for a child in custody. The child came into the family with a small bag of clothes and the family is currently building up her wardrobe in preparation for the school year. They were originally storing the clothes in a small 3 drawer dresser, but it is quickly getting filled. The child shares a room with one of the family’s biological children and they do not have the closet space to fit all of her clothes. This dresser would help accommodate her items as well as further support this placement as the family works to reinforce their home in hopes that they are able to adopt the child.

The mother is a young parent and on a very fixed income. The mother is in need of assistance with formula and baby cereal. The mother is not able to afford these items on her own. Assistance is being requested from the community to help this young mother.

There is a family of seven that is on a limited income that would benefit from assistance with purchasing school supplies. The family has provided a list for four of their children. This would help the family to free up income to pay bills, provide for basic needs, and to perhaps get a new vehicle or fix their current vehicle. This would also help the children to be successful in the educational setting. The school supplies need are as listed: 18 large elmer glue sticks, 7 pink erasers, 9 containers of antibacterial wipes, 10 kleenex, 12 black expo markers, 1 set multicoloered expo markers, 2 highlighters, 2 pairs of earbuds, 2 pairs of headphones, 5 24 pack colored pencils, 6 24 pack crayons, 6 24 pack pencils, 1 red pen, 1 package baby wipes, 1 set watercolor paint, 1 package playdough, 2 childrens scissors, 1 green, red, and blue pocket folder, 2 pencil boxes, 4 composition notebooks, 1 package wide ruled paper, 1 3 subject wide ruled spiral notebook. Anything would help.

Single mother of 5 has been homeless for the last 5 months, living in motels, a tent and various family members. Mother is presently starting work Aug 1st, and will start a home health job once she is able to get a physical. The children all need clothing and shoes.

Mother had her items stolen, including her phone. She has been working hard to get back on her feet for the sake of her daughter. A previous mom we helped some time ago has stated the bed we gave is now worn. A photo was provided to show that. She would appreciate a twin bed for her son (mattress and box springs and rails, or platform frame) and a comforter. This will help her son to get the sleep he needs to be healthy and feel secure.

PLEASE NOTE: RISE CHURCH CAN MEET THIS NEED WITH A BED WE ALREADY HAVE IN OUR INVENTORY. NO FURTHER DONATIONS ARE NEEDED.

A family of 5 is in need of a bed for their oldest son. He is in high school and is need of a full-sized bed. The family has suffered a few set backs and are working hard to get back on their feet. Having a bed will greatly improve the quality of life for this teenage boy. Please consider helping with this need.

There is an individual within the church that coaches underprivileged children that is in need of athletic gear / shoes / cleats for a few of the children in order for them to remain active in sports this summer and throughout the upcoming school year.. mainly he is in need of basketball shoes any sizes and size 12.5 men's cleats and tennis/ basketball shoes. If u have any kids or adult shoes for males new or used in good condition that u would like to donate please please reach out these kids are desperately needing these to continue with the well-being of their athletic abilities not to mention being active in sports helps with the mental well being of our children in today's society
