The family consists of the parents, and their 4 children, female age 9, male age 6, male age 7 and male age 17. The family is homeless and living at a motel since December 2024 as a result, of father’s work being slow and their inability to keep up with the rent for their apartment. Father was working in Monrovia selling corn and aguas frescas. Father was recently cited by for driving without a license and expired tags. Consequently, their work van was impounded, and they cannot afford to get it out. Mother had shared her children will not be attending summer school because there is a charge per child and they cannot afford it. A laptop for the 17-year-old child, would be helpful since he is not doing well in school and this will assist him with completing school assignments.  Mother and Father's dream is to have their children do well and graduate from school. A basic laptop would be a great help. Gift cards for back to school supplies and clothes would also be a great support.

The family recently moved to the area and is in need of assistance paying for their hotel room starting 7/17/25 at a rate of 72.56 per night (including tax). The mother has been applying for jobs and her paramour has been donating plasma to make ends meet. There are 3 children (including an infant) living in the hotel room. DCS has been able to assist by providing a pack 'n play, pullups, and helping the family find food resources. Please consider helping this family while they work to get on their feet!

Mom has been trying hard to reunify with her children. She has started going back to school and trying to maintain a job. She has been having health struggles making it difficult to work. She has been in subsidized housing. The housing recently took her school grants into consideration for her rent and her rent has increased over 100%. If she is not able to pay rent by tomorrow at 4PM she then has 3 days to vacate the property. She owes 262 for rent.

4 year old girl placed with God-mother. God-mother has her own three young children in the home as well. God-mother took emergency placement of 4 year old due to needs not being met by her parents. God-mother is in need of a toddler bed for the child to ensure that she has her own bed to sleep in. She is currently sharing a bed with one of placement's children. Assistance will ensure that the child will have her own bedding which will have positive effect on her well-being.

A teenager who has been in foster care for almost two years was able to reunify with his mother this summer. This teenager is participating in tutoring throughout the summer and will continue tutoring services through the school year. He needs additional supplies to be able to effectively participate with his tutor. These items include a laptop/computer, a desk and chair, and a printer with ink and paper. These items would greatly assist with his education and continuing to progress through school. His mother is continuing to look at options where she can find these items on her own, but would greatly appreciate any support in with these items.

Mother had her items stolen, including her phone. She has been working hard to get back on her feet for the sake of her daughter. We are reaching out to the community for help in replacing her phone and supporting her in providing food for her daughter. A previous mom we helped some time ago has stated the bed we gave is now worn. A photo was provided to show that. She would appreciate a twin bed for her son (mattress and box springs and rails, or platform frame) and a comforter. This will help her son to get the sleep he needs to be healthy and feel secure.

A family of 5 is in need of a bed for their oldest son. He is in high school and is need of a full-sized bed. The family has suffered a few set backs and are working hard to get back on their feet. Having a bed will greatly improve the quality of life for this teenage boy. Please consider helping with this need.

There is an individual within the church that coaches underprivileged children that is in need of athletic gear / shoes / cleats for a few of the children in order for them to remain active in sports this summer and throughout the upcoming school year.. mainly he is in need of basketball shoes any sizes and size 12.5 men's cleats and tennis/ basketball shoes. If u have any kids or adult shoes for males new or used in good condition that u would like to donate please please reach out these kids are desperately needing these to continue with the well-being of their athletic abilities not to mention being active in sports helps with the mental well being of our children in today's society
