Please consider helping this single mother and her child if a secondhand, full-sized fridge is available to you! This small family has been struggling due to not having transportation and only having a dorm sized or mini refrigerator. During this heat wave it can be quite exhausting to go back and forth to the store to get more ingredients. While DCF is providing bus passes and other needs for this family, as well as the mother having other supports from the local/state government, any other supports for this local family are more than welcome in the near future! Secondhand items are most welcome!

There is a kiddo in the hospital who is autistic receiving critical medical treatment at Wesley. Family has done a lot of work and has worked with all of their supports and services to do the best that they can. Family does not have transportation to get to the hospital each day as it is in Wichita, so hoping to cover a few nights in a hotel for them so that they can be at the hospital with kiddo. Kiddo is going to remain in the hospital for several more days and should be ready to go on Tuesday of next week. It would be greatly appreciated any help to cover the hotel stay would be amazing!

Candlewood Suits Wichita East by IHG is the hotel that we had looked up and appears to be around $71 a night. We used this hotel and this price to determine the today amount that may be needed. But in no way does it have to be this hotel.

A generous family of five recently opened their home to a sibling set of four so the children could remain together during an incredibly difficult time. They’ve now been caring for all nine family members for nearly a month. While they’re doing an amazing job creating stability and love for these children, they’re struggling to keep up with the increased grocery needs. They could really use support with breakfast items, snacks, and other everyday essentials. If you feel compelled to help, there are a few ways to make a meaningful difference—sending a Walmart gift card, arranging a Walmart delivery, or dropping off groceries directly at their home. We’re also open to creative ideas or any other forms of support you may be able to offer.

This young woman will be welcoming her first child next February. Although she is excited to be pregnant, she lives in a single income household and lacks the financial means to purchase necessary baby items. She would benefit from the funding of a crib with mattress, and a car seat/stroller combo set to ensure the safety and comfort of her baby. I have a very large family that is limited on funds and the children have hardly any clothes and are in desperate need of some. This will allow for the children to have clean clothing in between washes. The family's. AC is also out and would greatly appreciate fans or anything to help keep them cool while waiting on repairs, it doesn't necessarily need to be a window unit.

Grace Bible has been connected with a family currently in the adoption process who is in need of assistance. The caregiver has taken placement of his brother’s two children, and the family is moving towards adoption. They have requested assistance with a portion of their electric bill this month. The family has paid a portion of the bill, but has requested assistance with covering the remaining portion.

A single mom has secured housing mid July. She has 3 young children. She currently is employed and is attending a Bible study regularly. She has mentors set up to walk with her moving forward. She has saved and is 400 short on initial move in expenses.

A Karen family that has been recently able to move into a house now has the fun of doing the yard work. They really could use a lawn mower to help them. if you have a new or a used one that runs well, please consider donating it to them.

Two youths who aged out are in need of storage space as they're in temporary housing with an old foster parent, a queen bed, and an air conditioner.

A family that received a crib for a kinship placement could use a kitchen table, chairs, and a couch. This will help the family with ongoing needs.
