Kansas Kids Belong is excited to throw a Back to School Bash for local foster and kinship families! All local foster and kinship families, regardless of their licensing agency, are welcome to come enjoy games, goodies, giveaways and more at this "thank you for what you do" party!

Many back-to-school drives/events focus on the kids, so we want to offer something special for the caregivers at this one! We've made a wishlist of items to create over 200 fun and functional "survival kits" to give to the foster/kinship parents that attend.

Our goal with this event is to tangibly, visibly show these families that they are SEEN, VALUED, and SUPPORTED by their community. So we plan to shout out all of the church teams that pitch in for these gifts at the event so families know who stepped up for them! Thank you in advance!

the children have been discharged to foster care placement and are with a relative resource that has two children of her own. the relative has a family trip and has paid and planned for the trip for several months. the relative does not want the children to go back into foster care and the relative is trying to figure out how to take the children on the trip because she wants the children to be with her and not back into foster care and separated from one another. the relative is in need of two tablets for the 3 and 2 year old so they have something to use while in the car ride out of state. the relative is looking for age appropriate tablets for the 2 and 3 year old to use and have something to play age appropriate games on. the plan is for the relative and the children to leave to go out of state on 7/23 for a week.

A dedicated mother is on the brink of reunification after five long years of separation from her children. Two of the siblings have remained together in foster care during this time, while the others have been in a variety of placements—separated from their siblings and mother.

Now, after securing stable housing and meeting the requirements set by the child welfare system, she is ready to bring three of her children home. There’s just one major barrier left: furnishing the home.

Currently, there are no beds for the children. Until basic furniture is in place—especially beds—the reunification process cannot move forward.

I am a Samaritas Child and Family staff member currently working with a young mom and her two Autistic/Nonverbal children. This mother recently moved from a Domestic Violence Shelter into her own apartment. She is lacking a kitchen table and chairs. As of now, the family is eating at the small kid's table but would appreciate assistance with purchasing a table and 4 chairs to improve the livability of the home. I am a staff member at Samaritas Child and Family Services currently working with a young mom and her two Autistic/Nonverbal children. She recently moved from a Domestic Violence shelter to her own apartment. The living area of the apartment is on the second floor. When you enter her apartment, there is a flight of stairs to climb to enter the living area. To prevent the children from falling down the stairs, the mother is requesting a child proof baby gate she located on amazon for 69.99 plus tax. A family of 5 is in need of a bed for their oldest son. He is in high school and is need of a full-sized bed. The family has suffered a few set backs and are working hard to get back on their feet. Having a bed will greatly improve the quality of life for this teenage boy. Please consider helping with this need.

Hello, We are requesting funds for backpacks, water bottles and school supplies for 3 kiddos in one of our Fostering Together kinship homes. Please consider donating any amount to help prepare these littles for kindergarten and and 1st grade. Thank you for your generosity! -Courtney

One of our favorite Wooddale Staff is needing to move to California for family reasons and needs our Helping Hands at her home, preferably the week of July 21 and all work completed by July 27. The following needs to be addressed are listed:

1.) there is a decent sized hole in the drywall that needs filling (from my mom’s oxygen tank)

2.) help with weeding planter beds and trimming shrubs

A new mom connected to the CTI Family just welcomed a sweet baby girl. Baby and mom are facing some very challenging circumstances, and CTI F.A.M. wants to bless and support them as they navigate unexpected hardships.

There is an individual within the church that coaches underprivileged children that is in need of athletic gear / shoes / cleats for a few of the children in order for them to remain active in sports this summer and throughout the upcoming school year.. mainly he is in need of basketball shoes any sizes and size 12.5 men's cleats and tennis/ basketball shoes. If u have any kids or adult shoes for males new or used in good condition that u would like to donate please please reach out these kids are desperately needing these to continue with the well-being of their athletic abilities not to mention being active in sports helps with the mental well being of our children in today's society
