Resource Linkage is working with a family who is currently without their own housing. They are trying to locate housing of their own. Resource Linkage is requesting assistance to help with a hotel fee for a few days to get them out of this heat and in air conditioning so they can rest and feel rejuvenated. They have their dog with them so the hotel fee plus a pet fee for 5 nights is $523.00. Baymont by Wyndham in Tullahoma, TN has these nights available. Any help is appreciated!!

I am reaching out to share the story of a remarkable mother who has held onto hope and resiliency in the face of challenge. She has bravely survived multiple forms of abuse from the father of her children and has fought to heal herself and her family. Due to domestic violence and physical abuse from the father, her children were removed from the home by child welfare. Less than a year ago, they were safely reunified with their mother, and she has been working hard to overcome ongoing barriers. Now, she is facing three major needs: employment, transportation, and utility assistance. I am seeking local nonprofits and community resources for her utility bills, but the lack of transportation is preventing her from getting or maintaining a job. Her vehicle is currently in the shop, with repair costs of $1,600. A state agency had promised to match $800 if she could contribute the other half. She worked hard and came up with her $800 but was recently told that the matching funds are no longer available. As a result, her car remains unrepaired, leaving her stuck without a way forward. We are asking for any support your church may be able to offer, whether that’s contributing a portion of the $800 still needed or generously covering the full amount. This mother has expressed a desire for connection and support from a church as she continues her journey toward safety and stability. I am submitting a request on behalf of a family of 11- nine children and two adults. The family lived in their previous home for four years, but discovered the paint was lead based. Some of the kids ended up with high levels of lead, which qualified the family for intervention from the State of Michigan. As a result, the landlord was forced to address the issue and refused to renew the family's lease as a result. The family is currently unhoused because no one will rent to them due to the high number of children. As a result of having no place to live, the family has exhausted their funding staying in hotels. As stated above, they are currently unhoused and have nowhere to go. Dad has consistent employment, has paid his rent on time, and maintains consistent employment with good wages. My ask is two fold, if anyone has a place to rent, the family can pay $1,800 month in tent. The second part is a hotel for two weeks. The family has the potential to go through a diversion program in a month from now, and at that point will be all set. The shelters in the area can not accommodate a family of that size, and the only way they can potentially get into a shelter is to split up the family. Family of 5 (mom is 3 months pregnant) and they have a 2 year old and 9 month old. Dad is a disabled veteran, honorably discharged. They have been told they will not be able to receive housing assistance from veteran benefits until upcoming baby is born. They had been living out of their car/door dashing during the day to pay for hotel rooms at night. However recently they were driving back in a storm and hit a large pothole and the cv axle fell off the car. They now have no transportation. They have the room at the current motel paid for tonight but have no idea what they will do for tomorrow and until he is paid on the 25th and can get the car fixed. Any help would be very appreciated.

A single mom and her two teen boys recently found a new home after about 4 months of being homeless. This was the result of a very abusive situation at the hands of her ex-husband. Even though mom is working, she is facing a lot of obstacles, and the family is struggling to stay afloat and keep up with the bills. Recently their refrigerator broke and unfortunately mom is not able to get it fixed or to purchase another one. Your help is urgently needed to help this family get back up on their feet. A donation towards a new fridge would make all the difference to them!

A previous mom we helped some time ago has stated the bed we gave is now worn. A photo was provided to show that. She would appreciate a twin bed for her son (mattress and box springs and rails, or platform frame) and a comforter. This will help her son to get the sleep he needs to be healthy and feel secure.

A family of 5 is in need of a bed for their oldest son. He is in high school and is need of a full-sized bed. The family has suffered a few set backs and are working hard to get back on their feet. Having a bed will greatly improve the quality of life for this teenage boy. Please consider helping with this need.

There is an individual within the church that coaches underprivileged children that is in need of athletic gear / shoes / cleats for a few of the children in order for them to remain active in sports this summer and throughout the upcoming school year.. mainly he is in need of basketball shoes any sizes and size 12.5 men's cleats and tennis/ basketball shoes. If u have any kids or adult shoes for males new or used in good condition that u would like to donate please please reach out these kids are desperately needing these to continue with the well-being of their athletic abilities not to mention being active in sports helps with the mental well being of our children in today's society
