An elderly grandmother and grandfather are soon to have their newborn granddaughter in their care from foster care. As they navigate this unexpected and emotional transition, they are in urgent need of a car seat to safely transport the infant to medical and other essential appointments. This is a newly opened relative kinship family who took placement of two boys, ages 3 and 13. This family already has four children of their own, two biological and two guardianships. They are in need of a XL twin bed for one of the boys. They are also in need of a front facing, five-point harness carseat for the 3 year old. Any help would be appreciated as they are not yet receiving the foster care stipend and do not qualify for any of the startup stipends usually available to new kinship families. The two children who are in a guardianship were originally in foster care, and since this home was closed less than five years ago they are not eligible for startup stipends upon reopening to help the two current foster children. Also, if possible, the family needs a little help paying some application fees to get the 3 year old started in daycare. DHS pays for daycare, but does not pay application or other fees required by the daycare facility. There is a $50 application fee for the family (three children will be attending this child care facility) and a $20 cot fee for the three year old specifically. Any help is appreciated.

This caregiver recently received kinship placement of her two teenage nephews. She is a single parent, caring for the two teenagers on her own. The children have been in Summit County Children Services custody for 9 years, and have finally been able to reside with their family. Currently, the boys have bedrooms on the upper level of the home, and it gets very hot in their bedrooms, as the home has no central air conditioning. The family has one window air-conditioning unit for one of the bedrooms, but not the other. Assistance with either a window air-conditioning unit, portable unit, or fans, would help with cooling down the other bedroom during these hot summer months.

A family of four is sharing a small studio apartment where both parents sleep on separate love seats, their oldest daughter rests on a broken toddler bed, and their youngest sleeps in a pack‑’n‑play. To make the space more comfortable and functional, the parents are requesting a full‑size air mattress that can be stored during the day, along with two toddler beds for their daughters. The youngest child also urgently needs size 5 diapers, baby wipes, a stroller, and a convertible car seat, as she has outgrown her current infant seat. Any assistance with these items would greatly improve this family’s living conditions and overall well‑being.

A previous mom we helped some time ago has stated the bed we gave is now worn. A photo was provided to show that. She would appreciate a twin bed for her son (mattress and box springs and rails, or platform frame) and a comforter. This will help her son to get the sleep he needs to be healthy and feel secure.

A family of 5 is in need of a bed for their oldest son. He is in high school and is need of a full-sized bed. The family has suffered a few set backs and are working hard to get back on their feet. There is an individual within the church that coaches underprivileged children that is in need of athletic gear / shoes / cleats for a few of the children in order for them to remain active in sports this summer and throughout the upcoming school year.. mainly he is in need of basketball shoes any sizes and size 12.5 men's cleats and tennis/ basketball shoes. If u have any kids or adult shoes for males new or used in good condition that u would like to donate please please reach out these kids are desperately needing these to continue with the well-being of their athletic abilities not to mention being active in sports helps with the mental well being of our children in today's society
