This caregiver recently received kinship placement of her two teenage nephews. She is a single parent, caring for the two teenagers on her own. The children have been in Summit County Children Services custody for 9 years, and have finally been able to reside with their family. Currently, the boys have bedrooms on the upper level of the home, and it gets very hot in their bedrooms, as the home has no central air conditioning. The family has one window air-conditioning unit for one of the bedrooms, but not the other. Assistance with either a window air-conditioning unit, portable unit, or fans, would help with cooling down the other bedroom during these hot summer months.

A family of four is sharing a small studio apartment where both parents sleep on separate love seats, their oldest daughter rests on a broken toddler bed, and their youngest sleeps in a pack‑’n‑play. To make the space more comfortable and functional, the parents are requesting a full‑size air mattress that can be stored during the day, along with two toddler beds for their daughters. The youngest child also urgently needs size 5 diapers, baby wipes, a stroller, and a convertible car seat, as she has outgrown her current infant seat. Any assistance with these items would greatly improve this family’s living conditions and overall well‑being.

I am a social worker and I am working with a Mom who is in urgent need of diapers. She has received her monthly allotment from Happy Bottoms and is now out. She is needing size newborn diapers for her child. Thank you for your consideration!

Previously submitted request to fix a leaking water heater in a families house. Family has 4-children that would greatly benefit from the repairs, children were recently removed from the home and placed with grandmother that lives on the same communal property. Mother has quote to repair that ceiling and pay $100 per month for 12-months starting December 2025. Since the family has been displaced, they are requesting 1-tall dresser and 4-twin mattress protectors. Family has worked with Care Portal previously and appreciates the help during there time in need. DCS has quotes for repairs, repair/quotes have been submitted to Care Portal managers for approval.

Mother had her items stolen, including her phone. She has been working hard to get back on her feet for the sake of her daughter. A previous mom we helped some time ago has stated the bed we gave is now worn. A photo was provided to show that. She would appreciate a twin bed for her son (mattress and box springs and rails, or platform frame) and a comforter. This will help her son to get the sleep he needs to be healthy and feel secure.

A family of 5 is in need of a bed for their oldest son. He is in high school and is need of a full-sized bed. The family has suffered a few set backs and are working hard to get back on their feet. There is an individual within the church that coaches underprivileged children that is in need of athletic gear / shoes / cleats for a few of the children in order for them to remain active in sports this summer and throughout the upcoming school year.. mainly he is in need of basketball shoes any sizes and size 12.5 men's cleats and tennis/ basketball shoes. If u have any kids or adult shoes for males new or used in good condition that u would like to donate please please reach out these kids are desperately needing these to continue with the well-being of their athletic abilities not to mention being active in sports helps with the mental well being of our children in today's society
