The Ellis County Homeless Coalition is working with a mother that has two adorable little girls. She had her car pulled over off the road with car trouble and a tow truck hit her, spun the car several times, totaled the car, and has caused her extensive injury. She is a CNA, which she worked really hard to get last year, so as to better her live for her and her daughters. Her company does not have paid medical leave, so she is without pay, and needs help with some of her bills. She is hoping to get a settlement from the accident, and get caught back up to be able to move forward. She needs help with a phone bill of $48.36, due July 22, a light bill of $25, must be paid by July 30, and Internet past due, bill of $148.58. If a church would like to help her with her $670 rent, all or part that would be a true blessing. She is truly grateful for any support that can be given to her.

A hardworking mom who has courageously rebuilt her life after overcoming addiction is now thriving. She went back to school to continue her education, secured a full-time job, and is committed to giving her children a better future—one grounded in faith. She desires to give her children a Christian education and has been accepted into a local Christian school willing to enroll her two youngest children. A scholarship will cover most of their tuition once they are officially admitted. However, there is a $350 application fee per child, and she is still short $600. She has already contributed $100 toward the total cost, demonstrating her commitment. This request is for the remaining $600 in application fees so that her children can be given a fresh start and a Christ-centered education.

Mother and father worked really hard and recently reunified with their two little girls (age 7 and age 3). Mother recently had her third child. The family has been experiencing financial hardships and struggling to make ends meet. Father was recently laid off. Mother is on unpaid maternity leave and unable to work at this time. The family is requesting assistance in obtaining a crib and bedding for their newborn baby girl.

A local family is seeking assistance in purchasing essential medical supplies needed to safely feed their young child. The child has a swallowing disorder that requires the use of a specialized food thickener to prevent aspiration and ensure safe feeding. While the family is actively working with healthcare and insurance providers to secure long-term coverage for the product, they are currently in need of financial support to help cover the cost in the meantime. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as they navigate this challenging time.

One year old little girl is currently placed with her paternal grandparents. Paternal grandmother recently got laid off from her job and is in need of help in obtaining a stroller that is light enough to carry her grandchild up the stairs to their apartment. The child is not able to walk yet, and paternal grandmother struggles to carry her all the stairs to their second-floor apartment. She would be grateful for the stroller.

Mother had her items stolen, including her phone. She has been working hard to get back on her feet for the sake of her daughter. We are reaching out to the community for help in replacing her phone and supporting her in providing food for her daughter. A previous mom we helped some time ago has stated the bed we gave is now worn. A photo was provided to show that. She would appreciate a twin bed for her son (mattress and box springs and rails, or platform frame) and a comforter. This will help her son to get the sleep he needs to be healthy and feel secure.

A family of 5 is in need of a bed for their oldest son. He is in high school and is need of a full-sized bed. The family has suffered a few set backs and are working hard to get back on their feet. Having a bed will greatly improve the quality of life for this teenage boy. Please consider helping with this need.

There is an individual within the church that coaches underprivileged children that is in need of athletic gear / shoes / cleats for a few of the children in order for them to remain active in sports this summer and throughout the upcoming school year.. mainly he is in need of basketball shoes any sizes and size 12.5 men's cleats and tennis/ basketball shoes. If u have any kids or adult shoes for males new or used in good condition that u would like to donate please please reach out these kids are desperately needing these to continue with the well-being of their athletic abilities not to mention being active in sports helps with the mental well being of our children in today's society
