Story
A single mom of two children is actively pursuing services to support her family to decrease the risk of one of her children being displaced due to truancy and court intervention. Part of service planning, and identified by the family, was a need for summer enrichment and financial support to support child well-being to build up confidence and positive peer interactions. Currently, this mother is working full-time and is struggling to manage having daytime activities for her son, especially outside of the home.
Thus, this mother is requesting assistance and support to pay for swim passes and for summer camp through Parks & Recreation. Summer camp is for the youngest child, in elementary school who is also attending summer school, which is $20, and and one swim pass ($30)for the entire family. The total amount requested is $50. A check can be written to Albemarle County Parks and Recreation on ONE check if possible.
