This caregiver recently received placement of his 1-year-old niece, in addition to the 2 children he has had placement of for the past 18 months (2-year-old nephew, and 3.5-year-old niece). He also cares for his 15-year-old biological son. He currently sleeps on the couch to provide enough space for the children. He regularly visits food banks, and diaper distribution centers but struggles financially due to losing his job after taking emergency placement of his niece and having to miss work due to court hearings and unplanned medical appointments. He currently lives off unemployment but recently secured a full-time job with a start date in June. He would greatly benefit from assistance with groceries, and gas cards as making it to food banks and appointments get difficult with the four children in his care. He is open to weekly meals and could benefit from size 4 pull ups and the following clothing sizes (12 MO girls, 2T boys, 4T girls).

We are trying to help mom maintain employment in order to maintain housing for her and her children. Students are in after care programs and mom is not always able to pick them up due to financial and transportation limitations, so the students, along with mom, have been missing school/work in order to conserve funds. This has set the students back academically. Having transportation assistance would help mom guarantee consistent attendance for all family members to school and work.

This client is a single father who recently lost custody of his 6-year-old son due to ongoing drug use. The father has been the child's primary caregiver since birth, as his biological mother passed away of an overdose approximately 2 years ago. The six-year-old is currently with his older brother (19 years old), while his father engages in the needed treatments. The father is reportedly two weeks sober and working to get custody of his son back. Father is court ordered to engage in several programs but is unable to do so due to having no cell phone. The father is unable to schedule necessary appointments in efforts to regain custody of his son. The father is requesting assistance obtaining a pre-paid cell phone with minutes. Father is currently employed but puts all his money towards preventing the foreclosure of the family home. Within the last 2 years, the family has lost the father's mother, the father's father, the child's mother and the family dog. A family is needing help with getting items to help clean their home to improve the welfare of their child. They are needing (100 bags or more) contractor bags, hospital gloves, and water flats (x3).

These foster parents are outstanding advocates for the children in their care. One of their current placements is a child undergoing dialysis treatment three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, for several hours each day. Due to her medical needs, foster child is unable to attend traditional school full-time.

Foster mom has been a tireless advocate for the child's education. She has proactively pursued both a 504 Plan and an Individualized Education Program (IEP) to ensure foster child receives the academic support she deserves. Foster mom has coordinated with school district officials, principals, and even representatives from the Kansas Department of Education to secure the best possible resources for foster child.

Thanks to foster mom's efforts, the child will begin a hybrid school program next year, attending in person on non-dialysis days. This marks a significant milestone as it will be the child's first in-person school experience in four years.

The foster family is currently requesting a Chromebook or Amazon gift cards to offset the cost of the Chromebook for the foster child. This is essential for her hybrid learning model. The school district will not provide this resource.

The school has been working with a mom who was reunified with her children about a year ago. As a single parent she has needed extra support in keeping up with all of her kiddos and their needs. They've recently been accepted to move into a more affordable home at the beginning of June but they had to move out of their current place earlier than that. They are in need of a hotel room to hold them over until their rental is ready for move in. (The landlords are actually from MP!) The hotel is $84/night and we are hoping to cover 5 nights. There are several other churches claiming other nights as well!

This request is for a young adult female currently in her junior year of high school, who experiences ongoing financial hardship within her family. She plays a significant role in caring for her younger sister, who has special needs. Despite these responsibilities, she maintains consistent school attendance and holds a part-time job. However, the job is located far from her home and provides limited hours.

She has expressed interest in applying for jobs closer to home that may offer more consistent hours, but she faces transportation challenges. The family car recently broke down, and she currently depends on others outside the home for rides, which has proven unreliable. She is looking for a bicycle or another form of transportation to help her access more stable employment opportunities.

This is a single mom who is currently pregnant and due at the beginning of June. She has requested an infant car seat and a stroller. She is moving into a shelter this week. Mom lacks a support system and is trying to rebuild a better life for herself and her child.

We have a beautiful new family that arrived last week from Afghanistan. They came with nothing and currently the government funding is not available. we have helped the family secure housing and most of the furniture needed. they hopefully will move into the apartment in the next few days.

I am advocating for a mom of 2 who has had a stroke paralyzing her left side. While ordering a wheelchair for her, we discovered she is sleeping on a mattress on the floor. This mom has had three back surgeries and needs her bed high enough to be comfortably transferred in and out of bed and to be able to rest well. She is very humble and grateful for any help she may receive.
