Children's Division Prevention worker is working with a single mother of 2 children. Mom is a single parent working full time to support her children. Her two children (Boy-13 & Girl-12) do not have a bed. One of the children has Autism. Mom has been having to take off work due to his behaviors at school. This has led to her monthly income decreasing some pay periods. I would like to assist mom in obtaining beds to alleviate some of her financial stress. A single mother of three young girls, twin toddlers that are 3yo and one that is 5yo. She has made a significant amount of progress in the case and we are expecting to fully reintegrate all three girls this month. Mom has worked very hard to make her home a safe and comfortable space for her children to reintegrate into, and has been using a rent-to-own service for her furniture and the cost has become unrealistic to maintain. She is needing a washer and dryer for her home to ensure the girls have clean clothing and replace the rentals. Any consideration would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'm currently working with a single mom and her three-year-old son who just got a new apartment and are moving out of a shelter. The mom had her belongings held in storage, but the storage unit leaked causing them to lose everything. The child's father is incarcerated and unable to help provide. I believe this mother and her son would greatly benefit from community aid in hopes to replace some of what was lost. The school has been working with a mom who was reunified with her children about a year ago. As a single parent she has needed extra support in keeping up with all of her kiddos and their needs. They've recently been accepted to move into a more affordable home at the beginning of June but they had to move out of their current place earlier than that. They are in need of a hotel room to hold them over until their rental is ready for move in. (The landlords are actually from MP!) The hotel is $84/night and we are hoping to cover 5 nights. There are several other churches claiming other nights as well!

However, the job is located far from her home and provides limited hours.

She has expressed interest in applying for jobs closer to home that may offer more consistent hours, but she faces transportation challenges. The family car recently broke down, and she currently depends on others outside the home for rides, which has proven unreliable. She is looking for a bicycle or another form of transportation to help her access more stable employment opportunities.

This is a single mom who is currently pregnant and due at the beginning of June. She has requested an infant car seat and a stroller. She is moving into a shelter this week. Mom lacks a support system and is trying to rebuild a better life for herself and her child.

We have a beautiful new family that arrived last week from Afghanistan. They came with nothing and currently the government funding is not available. we have helped the family secure housing and most of the furniture needed. they hopefully will move into the apartment in the next few days.

I am advocating for a mom of 2 who has had a stroke paralyzing her left side. While ordering a wheelchair for her, we discovered she is sleeping on a mattress on the floor. This mom has had three back surgeries and needs her bed high enough to be comfortably transferred in and out of bed and to be able to rest well. She is very humble and grateful for any help she may receive.
