Story
There is a great grandmother in need of a twin bed and a toddler bed, mattresses, and bedding. Since 2013, Great grandma has been taking in her great grandchildren. Three have since been adopted by her; female age 12, female age 8, and male age 7. Recently, two younger siblings (males ages 4 and 1.5) have been placed in her care and to move forward with level I licensing, every child needs to have their own bed as per code. The immediate need is a twin bed. The four-year-old is rather tall for his age and needs a twin bed. He currently is sleeping in his great grandmother's bed with her or sharing with a sibling. The 1-year-old (17 month) is in his crib still and will transition into a toddler bed soon, as he is also growing fast. Due to legal circumstances, there is no caregiver funding yet available to the family for the two youngest children. Once the beds are in place, they can get licensed and funding will start, but that is not expected to happen until late July with the first payment received by the caregiver in mid-August.
