The mother has recently became a single mother and has moved to a new apartment with her 5 children ages range from 2 years to 13 years old. The mother is currently out of work and does not have the money to pay for a dining table or living room couches to furnish the home. At the moment the children have to eat at the counter or stand near a small coffee table in order to have their meals or do their homework. Mother has made attempts at yard sales and thrift stores to find a large enough dining room table and some living room couches on her own but has not had any luck in finding anything in her price range to get the proper furniture she needs for her family. The mother does not have a truck to pick up any new furniture as she drives an SUV in order to take her children to school and sports practice/games. If the mother were to receive a dining table with chairs and couch for her new apartment it will help the children feel more at home and have a place to do their activities and share quality family bonding time together.

This request is being submitted on behalf of a family that is prepping for a new family member who is set to come into the world very soon. The mother reported she has gathered a few items but is still in need of a dresser for the infant's items and an infant car seat.
The family has also asked for assistance in obtaining children's books for their five-year-old son who is participating in a read-a-thon at school.
The family is very appreciative of any and all help.

We have a client who has let us know that her babies biological father has started Co-Parenting with her. Our client wants to make sure that when the baby is at the fathers home that the father has what he needs in order to properly care for and transport the baby. He will need a stroller and a bounce and play activity center for the time being. Financially neither parent is able to afford this at this time. When you help our clients with these needs it helps them be able to focus on the other necessities that they need for their family. We do ask that any items donated be brand new for liability reasons. If you have any questions about the items to be purchased please let me know in your email. I have links available for you if you would like a better description of the items needed. When you have completed the purchase of the item and are ready to give it to the client, a meeting time will be arranged between your church office and our client. Thank you for being such a wonderful support system for our clients.

In order for the parents to continue providing adequate care for their children, gas funds would be greatly appreciated. The parents are currently seeking employment, in the meantime gas fund would be a great support for the family. Any amount would be appreciated. Thank you for any support!

Social Worker is currently working with a single mother and her three children. The mother was affected recently in February by rain and floods. Due to the flooding the mother has had to make a lot of home repairs on her own. The mother had her washing machine outside where she would wash clothes and it was damaged by the flood and it no longer works. The family lost a lot of their clothing, washing machine and their refrigerator is about to go out as well. The mother has been washing by hand at home to do what she has to do to get her children to school clean. One of the children wears a size 32/32 in men's pants another child wears 10-12 in children clothes for boys and the last one wears 8-9 in girl clothes. The children would also benefit from socks. The mother has been able to get her children's a few things her and has been putting her needs to the side she could also benefit from under garments for herself. The mother is still undergoing some house projects in the home. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Help prevent this family from entering Foster Care. Caregiver became suddenly widowed in July of this year and was left behind with his six children (Ages newborn to age 12) to care for. For the last two months the father’s main focus has been his children’s stability and he stopped working to be with them during this difficult time. The father reached out to this worker explaining that his water service had been shut off. The father explained the mother was the one to manage the finances and ensure to pay the bills and after her sudden passing, the father was left feeling overwhelmed. The father is in desperate need of utility assistance. The main reason why I am requesting this need to fulfill is because utility service would help maintain a safe environment for the children. The father recently started his job and is doing everything in his power to protect the children.

Social Worker currently working with a single parent household consisting of two adults and one child age 15. The mother was hurt at work and due to the severity of the injury she has restrictions that are not allowing her to return to work at this time. The mother and children are residing with her parents and brother as they could no longer afford their own place as she is not able to work due to her injury. The household’s electricity bill is over $2000 dollars right now and the mother is making small payments at this time. The mother has tried reaching out to different programs & there is currently no funding available for utility bill assistance. The family would appreciate even a small donation to get the bill lowered. The family also has an old washer that keeps breaking down on them and they have paid someone hundreds of dollars to repair it just for it to break down again and again. The children’s grandmother age 75 is currently having to wash all the households clothing by hand, which makes the mother sad as she can’t help her due to her arm injury. A new or better used washer that actually properly functions would really alleviate a lot of extra stress that is put on the family. The family is also in need of a couch and love seat, preferably a sofa bed as they do have a lot of people residing in the home and one of them is having to currently sleep on the couch as this time. The family would be very appreciative of any help they can get with these items.
