Being a single mom in recovery is hard yet being a single mom with lupus and other medical conditions can be even harder. I am working with a single mom of a four-year-old daughter and a teenage daughter who recently came back home to live with her after living with her grandmother for the majority of her life. It hasn't been an easy road for this mom of three. She has dealt with pain most of her life and has been fighting for disability which continues to get denied yet through her sobriety and with God she is trying to show her children a better life through her pain. Many days she dreads getting out of bed and it is hard for her to get things out of the fridge yet she tries to be the best mom she can be.
