This request impacts multiple families.

DCCCA Family Preservation is asking for help from the community to replenish our supply of hygiene products in our donation pantry. These products will benefit low-income families in crisis due to the following real-life scenarios: domestic violence has caused a family to flee their home with only the clothes on their backs; a family is experiencing homelessness and does not know where their next meal is going to come from, much less how they are going to afford a bottle of shampoo or body wash; a parent has made the decision to go into substance abuse treatment to avoid losing their child/ren but cannot afford the essentials to take with them to the treatment facility; the child/ren are at risk of being placed in foster care due to showing up for school with poor or bad hygiene due to their single parent not having the means to buy hygiene products. We are grateful for any help from the community to support the basic needs of the families we serve.
