A maternal grandmother had her two grandchildren placed in her care as a safety precaution. The two small children suffered physical abuse in the hands of their biological father. The MGM is employed; however, her income is limited as she's the sole provider for her two children. The MGM has a 6-month-old granddaughter who she reports she needs a walker for. The caregiver states that her granddaughter is constantly trying to lift herself up when she's held. the caregiver reports that if her granddaughter had a walker, she could strengthen her legs while learning to take steps.
