Help Preserve an Adoptive Placement

Normal Request
I have had the pleasure of working with a young faith-based family with 4 children, 5 years old and younger. Two of the children have been adopted, have high needs and utilize multiple services. This is a family that has done respite for Olmsted County prior to adoption. Youth behavioral Health is open with the 5 year old due to his multiple mental health diagnosis and his 3 year old sibling is open in the Developmental Disabilities Services unit of Olmsted County. This family is an excellent and devoted family that inspires me to do my best work. We are requesting any financial help for a fence so that the children can play outside safely. One of the children, is especially talented at running away and hiding. This couple works hard to meet all of the children’s needs as well as both work themselves. Mom works very part time as a nurse, so that they do not utilize daycare and they can attend all of the appointments that the children have. They have recently moved into a new house that will suite the kiddos’ needs more in the long run. One child is eligible for a grant but it is minor and is primarily utilized on respite and adaptive equipment. Due to their young age, the children are not eligible for certain grants and, or waivers at this time. Fence’s are surprisingly expensive and therefore we are asking for any help that is available. They have received 2 quotes: American Fence Co. was $3,277 and Apex Fence was $2,879. Thank you!
