DCCCA is working with a mother who has been homeless and living in a hotel for seven months. The family has been able to obtain housing and will be ready to move in this weekend. The last obstacle is paying off past due utilities so mom can connect electricity at the new home. Two of the children have been living with family and friends because there was not enough space at the hotel. Having this cost covered not only gets mom out of the hotel room, it will put the family back together under one roof. Mom has contributed what she can to the bill and has obtained assistance from community resources and this amount is what remains after other resources have been tapped out.
