I am currently working with a mother of two with severe mental health issues. She has been unable to work and owes $2200 for her gas bill. They turned off her gas this week and will not turn it back on until she pays $1250. We were able to find a community resource that will pay $500 if we are able to come up with the remaining $750. The mother is working to get into vocational rehab at this time as well as additional mental health services. The gas in her home is for her stove, hot water heater, and heat.
