Bike, Clothes – 16/18 youth size – more so pants, winter/fall clothes, Barbies, Pair of tennis shoes – size 4 youth, Hair stuff – hair barrettes and head bands, etc. Finger nail polish 8 year old girl is the sibling of newborn who is currently admitted to CMH due to medical concerns and there is no discharge date in sight as of now. Mother has been out of work since a couple months prior to birth due to high-risk pregnancy and with baby being admitted to hospital her date to start working again is delayed even further. Father has also had to take FMLA from work which has resulted in less income for the family. The little girl turns 9 y/o next Friday 9/15/23. Mom reached out to DCF to see if we can assist with items for her birthday as mom doesn’t want her to feel even more left out/unimportant since mom and dad’s attention lately has been focused more on baby in the hospital. Mom wants her to have a good birthday but can’t afford birthday gifts for her.
