I am working with three children (13, 6, and 4) who are placed with their maternal grandparents who plan to adopt them in the near future. The 13 y/o is in eighth grade and his school is going on a class trip in May of 2024 to Washington D.C. and New York. My kiddo has never expressed interest in much and he is often shut down and does not like engaging in activities like this, but he has expressed a high interest in going on this class trip. He lost his mother to an overdose about three months ago, so all of us are very excited to see him coming out of his shell a bit more since this difficult loss. The cost is about $2000 and the family understands the cost is a lot and will make whatever payments they need. Any assistance in funding this trip would be appreciated by myself and the family! I put $50 in the needs box, but any amount is appreciated.
