I am currently assisting a young (sister) caring for her young brother. She herself was a child from a trauma background, now suddenly caring for her brother during tough times of the family. The sister is doing well, she is attempting to set up a nice home for the two of them. She has recently moved into a new two-bedroom apartment to meet the needs of the two of them. She could use help to make this house a real home. It would be so great to assist her with a much-needed electric washer and dryer, solid wood bookshelf (as she is an avid reader-with lots of books), and possibly a nice coffee table to cozy up the living room. Although these items are needed for licensure, it would lighten her load to use her limited income to buy food and clothing for her brother. She has limited household items-enough to get by, but even mentioned she needed cookie sheets, pizza pans, and cake pans. She told me the other day she went to back a frozen pizza and realized she had nothing to put them on or to cut it with. She improvised and found some scissors to cut their pizza. "We managed, it worked". She is a strong young lady who has battled to establisher herself and now trying to do right by her brother.
