Hello! We have a family in need of assistance with rent as soon as possible. They are past due on their rent for January in the amount of $550. The family had their baby earlier than expected, but dad has continued to work and mom returned to work 9 days after having the baby. They are working very hard to adapt to life with a new baby and get caught up on their bills. The family and the case manager has contacted several resources, but none had the funds available to help. If anyone is able to help with the full amount or even a portion of the amount, please reach out.
A 18 year old non-minor court dependent is currently working and attending school at Mt. Sac with the goal of transferring to a four-year college in two years. The youth is goal oriented and motivated. The youth is currently in a transitional housing (THP) program placement and doing well. The youth lacks family support to meet his goals and relies on DCFS and his THP program for support. Youth's current bicycle has broken down several times and is now not operable. Youth is in need of an electrical bicycle to help him get to work and school, specifically during after bus hours. Youth would greatly appreciate if a donation can be made to help purchase the electronic bicycle found on Amazon to help support the transportation need.

Kingdom Care has been working to support an aged out foster youth. Due to an unfortunate situation she has found herself and her newborn baby out of state and without resources and support. Providing for this need will allow us to provide a hotel room for a night as well as a plane ticket for her and her baby to return home where we have lined out further support.
The Department is currently working with a youth (15M) who was placed with his aunt in Fort Collins. Due to the youth needing a higher level of care than what the aunt can provide, the department has placed the youth in a foster home in Colorado Springs. This youth would like to keep some normalcy in his life with his consistent support and has requested to return to his past school. Since this is a private Christian school, the department is asking for financial assistance for this youth to attend school for this semester.

Mother has 2 twin boys, ages 4, who are currently not in her care. She is working very hard to get them back and attending services 5 days a week. She also works part-time. The mother needs to pay $90 for her driver's license reinstatement fee. Having an active Driver's license will help the client in being able to drive to and from work, her treatment services, and her visitation with her children. It will also be a huge asset when the children are in her care again. The client currently has active insurance.

Father and teen daughter just moved into area from Atlanta due to domestic violence. The teen daughter came from Atlanta pregnant and baby was just born this week. Father and daughter have been living with a friend until this week the father has secured a apartment for he and teen daughter. The father and teen daughter are in need of queen size beds. These beds are most urgent and other furnishings are secondary.
Thank you for considering. Father is also requesting dishes and kitchen furnishings. Workers know that family has no furniture except clothes they came to Kansas with.
This family has 3 children, two of which have special needs, and are in need of help buying gas to continue to be able to get them to school and appointments. The girls are 10 and 9, and the little boy is 4. Mom is not able to work because of her son's significant special needs, so it's a one-income household. Any help is appreciated, and would greatly relieve financial pressure on this mom to allow her to transport her kids. She has a car but recently hasn't been able to make ends meet between gas and food, so a gas card would help her family make ends meet.

This young man is 20 and preparing to age out of the Foster Youth in Transition Program. He recently graduated high school and has been working with the Division of Vocational Rehab to gain employment. His stipend decreased as he gets closer to turning 21, therefore he did not have enough to pay rent, buy dog food and cover other expenses. This request is for a straight talk phone card to pay his phone bill for the month. This phone is used to communicate with professionals on his team and to get return calls on job applications. He was also in need of some hygiene products. He is a simple young man and doesn't need anything fancy. He struggles with hygiene as it is but not having the shampoo and soap will only make matters worse, especially while trying to job hunt. Thank you for considering helping this young man!
