There is parent that is in need of Dining table, High Chair, Children’s Table with Chairs (suitable for a 5 y/o to utilize for homework, read, and write), clothing for a baby boy currently wearing size 12 months and size 3 in shoes, and 5 y/o boy currently wearing size 5 and size 10 in shoes.
While she is able to provide necessities of the children, she has tried to provide the requested items individually but has not been successful. Although the parent is having these challenges, she is committed to maintaining their new household/family dynamic without the support of her former partner, as she does not want to place her children in a dangerous, tumultuous, and traumatic environment. During my work with the parent, I have identified the following strengths: the mother is resilient, nurturing, and protective of her children. For these reasons and more, I am advocating for the parent to have the needs identified met. Having these needs met will provide a safe environment for the children, enhance the children’s emotional, physical, and educational well-being, and improve parental capacity. If the needs are not met, the baby won’t have a safe space to eat meals, the child will have to do his homework on the floor, and the family will have to eat standing, on the floor, or one at a time on the only safely functioning chair their current dining set has. Lastly, the children are of age where they are growing at a rapid rate and will outgrow their current clothing.
