Mother recently got a new job that is a position for as needed and therefore not consistent. Her previous position was also an as needed position but she had not gotten any work in about 3 weeks. With this new position, mother will be making more per hour when she does work and is looking for another flexible employment option for the times that she does not. Mother is currently in need of help with her rent and a few other outstanding bills for this month until she begins receiving paychecks for the new job. Mother would also be interested in working with a faith based organization as a job when she is not doing the as needed position.

I am asking for help for grandparents who have recently obtained custody of their 3 young grandchildren in getting winter clothing. These grandparents have always been very active in the lives of the children and when LDSS became involved with the family, they did not hesitate to take the necessary steps to keep the children with family. They are in need of clothing for an 8 year old boy and 2-year-old twin girls. Clothing sizes are: Boys 10/12, Girls 3t and 4t, and diapers 5 and 6.

She also does not have any furniture in her living room besides a futon that she has to sleep on. Any living room furniture (chairs, couch, etc. ) would be greatly appreciated by her. Even if multiple churches could come together and donate some money towards the rent and car as a community rather than one taking on the whole need, anything would help.

A mother just recently had her baby on 11/18/2023 and her baby was born early and with an undeveloped stomach and currently still in the NICU at the hospital. Mom needs help with transportation in order to see her baby in the NICU and get to spend time with the baby before coming home.

am currently working with a kinship caregiver who is raising her cousins, ages 11 and 14. The family was served by CarePortal previously, however, the connection was unable to support her needs at the time. The family is now in need of some additional support. Recently, after previous belief that she would be unable to drive, she discovered some unpaid taxes on her vehicle when she believed that a prospective buyer had paid them. Now, she has decided to keep the car, but because of the remaining balance, a stop has been put on her license. This means that she will be unable to renew her registration this month, and if she were to drive it, her car could be towed. She would really appreciate someone who could cover the cost of the taxes and accrued fees, so that the family will have reliable transportation. Due to her disability and the chronic pain that comes with it, the caregiver has been unable to work and is on a fixed income. Therefore, she is finding it difficult ot cover these unexpected costs. Aunt has recently taken in her teenage nephew. He came to her suddenly and with very few of his own things. The family is working very hard to create a safe, comfortable, welcoming space for him. They are in need of a bed (mattress, box spring and simple frame- any size) so he has his own place to get quality sleep. They are also seeking assistance with rebuilding his wardrobe. They have utilized the clothing closets in the community but have had difficulty finding everything he needs at this time. If possible, they feel it would be helpful if he can choose some clothing for himself. They are hoping for a bench to add to their kitchen table to accommodate the addition to their family so everyone can sit together for meals. A female child is in need of a special device to assist with treatment for her hair pulling behaviors. Child has history of pulling hair on her head, eyebrow and eyelashes. She has pulled hair so much that some damage may be permanent. Currently the family is having to keep the child's head shaved. Child is currently on homebound schooling due to this, but would like to one day return to public school. This device is recommended by her treatment provider to help curb her behaviors.
