This teenager is a responsible young adult involved in our youth-in-transition program. This youth is in need of additional phone minutes to have continued connection with his supports. He was able to buy his phone himself but needs a little assistance getting the minutes he needs to stay connected. A single mother of a 9 year old is needing rental assistance for the month of August. She recently purchased a vehicle and one day was driving and hit a deer. She is needing to repair the vehicle as the incident caused some leakage in the engine. She is unable to pay for repairs and rent. With this assistance, she will be able to maintain her and the child's home along with repairing the vehicle that is needed for their transportation.

A single father of 4 currently resides in Pueblo, CO and is in desperate need of a gas card to assist with transportation to and from Pueblo to Colorado Springs to have visitations with his children. He relies heavily on the transportation of his peers who are getting frustrated with the lack of financial assistance. Father is currently disabled and his source of income only comes from SSI. With this purchase, the father will be able to see his children without going into debt with friends and family in order to see his children.

We're at a very exciting time in this case. We have a mother that went in to a voluntary program through DHS that was intensive. She has completed many of the program requirements (which start with 8-10 appointments per week). We are at a point of starting overnights so that we can move forward with reunifying this mom with her 2 daughters (4yo and 9 month old). We have obtained housing for the family. It is a one bedroom hotel room. We need baby items to include a pack n play, a gift card for diapers (size 4) and wipes, high chair or chair with a tray, and girl clothes (12 month). All of these items can be used except the diapers. This can be picked up by multiple people if you have one item and not the others. Any donations are appreciated. For the 4yo, we are in need of a few small toys and clothes. It could be gently used toys, dolls, or toys. The child's size is 4-5t.

The department is involved with a single mother who is requesting assistance with gas for her truck. The mother is engaged with her team and actively working through her treatment plan. The mother is unemployed but she sells items on the Internet and takes care of a neighbors trash/yard to get money for food for her children. She has two children a 4 year old (F) and a 14 year old (F) who are currently living with her father in Woodland Park. The mother is asking for a gift card to Maverik gas station in order to get gas to visit her children in Woodland Park before the snowy weather makes it more challenging to see them. A mother is in need of assistance paying the first and last months deposit in order to move into an income based apartment. The mother has 2 children a 10 year old boy and a 4 year old girl. She does not have the funds to pay the first and last months rent deposit in order to move in once she has enough for the deposit the rent will be based on her income which will provide them affordable housing in a safer neighborhood. She needs a $1,000 to cover the deposit for first and last months rent. This will allow them to move into a 3 bedroom apartment which better fits the needs of the family and is more affordable for the family.

A family with two female children ages 3 and 5, is struggling to afford things for their children. The children are living in a homeless shelter with MOC at this time. MOC is pregnant and due in November 2023 so she is also asking for assistance with baby items. They have asked for assistance obtaining long sleeve t-shirts and sweat pants size 6T, socks size 4T-5T, 4T t-shirts and sweat pants, 5T-6T pull ups and wipes, clothes for a newborn baby and a stroller. If this need is met, then all 3 of the children will have what they need for the wintertime.

This youth is about to age out of the foster care system. She has been working on her independent living skills and has been successful and obtaining employment in order to provide for her 2 year old son. Recently her car was broken into and one of her side windows was broken and it needs to be replaced. With the weather changing she needs this replaced in order to keep her son warm, but also we are looking to get this replaced before she ages out of the system next month. Any bit of help is appreciated! She is looking at having the service done at Safelite.

Single grandmother caring for her five grandchildren. They recently had to move out of their home due to flooding. Many of their personal belongings could not be salvaged. The grandmother has had to spend a great deal of money on the entire ordeal. The kids had bunks that were previously broken and are now in need of new beds. The kids and grandmother are requesting three TRUNDLE BEDS and a crib that can transform into a toddler bed (the baby's crib was destroyed due to flooding). If you can commit to any of these items, it would greatly support this family!

Kin like provider and the youth would greatly appreciate any assistance with providing school clothing for her as she returns to in person schooling. This teenager needs a phone in order to effectively and appropriately communicate with their foster parents, friends, and family. An open line of communication will aid in the preservation of foster placement with a healthy family. With a phone, we are hoping that this youth will want to continue to want to stay in their placement and create a stable living environment for the youth. We are also hoping that this youth will be able to appropriately communicate with friends and supports in order to strengthen their community. Requesting help with purchasing a phone and a few months worth of prepaid cards for service on the phone.

I am working with a family who is trying to get their grandson back home. Grandmother is working hard to get services in place for her grandson and needs a few items in order to do so. Grandmother needs assistance $300 in order to obtain a divider for one of her rooms, an attachment to her scooter, as well as a basket so that she can carry items with her and complete her laundry needs. If this need is met then grandmother will be able to complete tasks timely and be able to implement MST services as needed for both her grandsons. The child is living with a family friend and has expressed an interest in drawing (with pencil/charcoal). CASA has a case with a 7-year-old little boy who was removed from mom for educational neglect and ongoing substance use. The little boy has been reunited with his dad who is just getting on his feet after struggling for several years. The dad is working fulltime and is excited to have his son back home with him and recently found housing. CASA has a case with two teen girls who were removed from mom after being sex trafficked, being homeless and mom's substance use. The girls have been living with their aunt for over two years. The youngest girl needs a few new clothes for school, close-toed shoes and a winter coat and was unable to find these items at our free CASA clothing resource. Family is in need of funding for groceries in the form of a gift card to a local grocery store. The foster child in the home has faced recent hospitalization and a grocery gift card would allow the placement parent to maintain eligibility and supervision of the hospitalized child while not having to worry or stress about providing food/meals to the other children at home. A grocery gift card would allow the foster parent the ability to focus fully on the care and recovery of the foster child while still maintaining a consistent household.
