Hello, I have a 17 year old, male, who would love to spend his Christmas break with his older brother and extended family in Minnesota. Child has not seen his older brother in years and would really like to go. This child's goal is to age out in May 2024 when he graduates high school. Child's plan is to age out and move to Minnesota where his older brother will be able to be a huge support to him and help guide him as he navigates adulthood. Spending his winterbreak with his family would be a great opportunity for them to strengthen their bond and spend time together before child's next big step of aging out. Any help towards a round trip airplane ticket would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Family of 4 transitioning from homelessness. The family has been homeless since February of 2021 and has secured stable housing. The have most recently stayed with a shelter and report that the shelter is helping them with living room furniture but all other household items including cleaning supplies that one needs to live independently are needed. Any assistance that could be offered would be greatly appreciated. The girls will be sharing a room and there is no preference between twin over twin and twin over full. I chose twin over twin for this request. We can adjust bedding to match whatever need is met. The miscellaneous supplies are for a shower rod and curtain and for bath towels and wash clothes for a 4.

A single mom with 3 young children has fled a violent situation and is trying very hard to get back on her feet and support her family. Her current vehicle has been very unreliable and has required multiple service repairs. It is also not large enough to properly accomodate 3 carseats. Both mom and I realize this is a very big ask, but if you know someone that has a reliable and safe vehicle that they are interested in donating to a very sweet and gracious young mom who could really use the support, please let me know. Or, if you would be willing to help with the cost of her current car repairs, please let me know and I will provide further details. Thank you!

14 year old teen girl in foster care has recently been able to reunite with her sisters (E, 11 and R, 12), stepdad, and step-grandmother! The grandmother has been the primary caregiver to E & R, as well as her own sister who has been sick. The grandmother also lost her son recently. Despite all the grief, the grandmother has enthusiastically accepted the 14 year old into her home, but is concerned about keeping up with bills as well as providing a good Christmas. We are looking for Christmas decorations, gift cards, and teen girl items.

A mother who has been dedicated to reunifying with her four children is facing some very hard times. The mother was able to find reliable transportation and housing, however with her not being employed at the moment, she is high risk of losing her vehicle due to outstanding balance. The mother has been involved in medical appointments and any educational decision making. This family is close to reunification; however the mother is struggling to pay bills since her recent injury. The mother has tried to keep her bills paid to ensure she has proper housing for herself and for the children. At this time, the financial request would be towards the mother's car payment, which also allows for the mother to visit with her children consistently.

Mom and son, 2 yrs, does not have a car and isn't working enough hours to pay for transportation to get to the places needed. Mom had to chose between transportation and rent and chose to pay rent. In preparation for getting custody, mom had paid her rent ahead and saved up to be a month and a half ahead because she knew she wouldn't have day care and would need to apply for assistance so she could go back to work full time. At that time she was working Full Time for Burger King and attending online school. She is now working for Wendy's part time and has gotten her certificate from online schooling.
Mom has been working to improve her life situation and has been a role model, regularly attending 12-step sobriety meetings and is the house president in her Oxford Home. She also was provided a trip to Washington DC for a national Oxford convention paid for by Oxford this last October. She also got her certificate as a Clinical Medical Asst. 10-31-23. She has nearly successfully graduated from SFM Substance Abuse Out Patient Services with a month to finish.
Multiple resources in the community have been explored to help fill in for this mother and son. A few items needed are:
Dillon's Gift Card for Groceries
Rent Assistance to Oxford House for 3 weeks at $130 per week
Assistance with transportation for mom for appointments as needed if someone would like to donate time and resources to transport.
Thank you for your consideration in helping this mother and child!
Children Division is assisting a family who has faced some housing hardships with their home conditions and had to throw clothing away for the children. Mom has no income and can not afford to replace the children's clothes for school and everyday wear. The children in this family need school uniforms and warm winter clothes with undergarments. This family also asks for eight storage bins to store the new clothes to prevent them from getting ruined. The children in the home can attend school with clean clothes by meeting this need. Thank you in advance for meeting this need.

Good afternoon. I am requesting community assistance to help support an older youth on my caseload currently in the care of the MO Children's Division. At this time, My youth is needing financial assistance to help with vehicle repairs. My youth is in need of $360 + Tax to help with replacing an Accelerator Pedal and clean Throttle Body in her 2008 Chevy Impala. There is also a hub bearing growling/hum noise that changes with speed that needs to be addressed. The estimated cost is $360 plus tax to address these issues. My youth's car has broken down once already and had to pay almost $800 in repairs. My youth's job requires her to have stable transportation for work and I am worried her car may break down again if these issues are not addressed. My youth plans to seel her car and finance a newer one once these repairs are made.
Any financial assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a blessed day!!

Two children (Boy age 9 and Girl age 8) are living with their biological grandparents after their previous adoptive home fell through. The grandparents are doing a wonderful job of taking care of the kids and getting them the supports and services they need. The children's school is offering a holiday day camp while school is out of session for the Christmas holiday. The family would like financial assistance getting them enrolled so that the elderly grandparents can keep the children in their routine as much as possible for the children's mental health. The program has a $75 enrollment fee per child, and a cost of $30/day/child. This would total to $450 for the two children for the 5 day program.
