The mom would like for child to have swimming lessons so that if he is around water he will be safe. The child does not know how to swim or float. The mom has found somewhere for children with Autism to have swimming lessons, Platte City YMCA. The sessions are 208.00 a session, and the mom feels that if he goes to a couple and she can observe that she will be able to work with her son alone

Hello there, we just placed a fifteen-year-old child with her great grandmother. The great grandmother is on a fixed income and is in need of a twin mattress and box spring for the child that we placed with her today. The great grandmother is also caring for another grandchild that she has adopted. The grandmother has had the child that we placed with her today since she was a baby. We are hoping that someone could possibly donate this item and deliver it to her home. She owes some back rent that she must resolve prior to qualifying for low income housing. Mother is on disability due to a significant physical disability that does not enable her to work. Mother is putting her entire disability check towards the rent due but still needs help. Any assistance offered is greatly appreciated! This will directly impact our ability to reintegrate the child.

I'm working with a single mom who recently moved to the Kansas City Area with no family support. She and her two daughters are currently living at a motel until they are able to secure affordable, safe housing. She had an unexpected car repair and is needing assistance paying the rent for her motel room. Parent currently is working and will be able to pay for the room moving forward. Helping this family will ensure that they do not end up living in a shelter.

This is actually for a family on the KS in JOCO, but I had to try to find someone to help. Mother and son are going to be evicted and need their rent paid as soon as possible with the last possible day being the 25th of september. Mom was unemployed due to her car being wrecked but recently she has started a new job and should be able to sustain the family going forward after this. Mom is so worried about having to move because they have no support system here and her son really loves the school he goes to, has made a lot of friends, and likes being able to be on a sports team. Mom was able to pay part of her rent but they still owe 1241.80. Mom has not asked for help in the past and when we talked she just said, "it's really hard for me to say this, but I need help. I don't know what else to do".

There is a young boy who is needing school uniforms that fit him and he feels comfortable in. This young boy has grown exponentially since last year when his single parent bought him new uniforms. It would be greatly appreciated by both the young student and the parent to get him the uniform that he needs. He is needing a couple pairs of pants and two shirts. A residential care facility taking care of boys in foster care is in need of some living room seating. The homes have 7 boys in each house so some of the furniture has seen better days! The living room area is where they spend most of their time. We would love to bless them with some better furniture.

3 year old girl girl needs toddler bed. Family is staying in a small town in North east Atchison county. Mom is working part time but needs help due to large Evergy and kansas gas service bill. Bed providers out of Kansas city do not service this area. M is a youth who came into care for homelessness and medical neglect. M is autistic and was placed with his grandmother upon coming into care. His grandmother is on a restricted income through SSI. Since M came into care grandma has been trying to get him to the medical appointments he has missed. M has a heart condition and has to see a cardiologist annually and take medication everyday. M's dental care was also neglected, and grandma has made an appointment for that as well. Grandma's alternator went out on her car and she now has no way to get M to his doctors appointments. Grandma and M are trying to utilize rides from acquaintances until they are able to get repairs on the car done. They cannot afford repairs and it is important for M to get to his appointments. They are in need of help with getting this repair done and purchasing an alternator.

Family of 5 needs help paying rent this month. This is a single parent household. The parent was unable to work for several days this month due to illness and also experienced some unforeseen expenses. This assistance would really help them get back on their feet and support the children in maintaining a consistent place to live!

Hello, I have a 19 year-old female on my Case Load that is in the process of moving to a new placement with other adults with disabilities. This youth is needing this type of living arrangements to help with a permanency location to live so that the youth may exit the foster care system. The youth is required to furnish their own bed(frame and mattress) and a dresser for their clothes. This youth does not have have the abilities to provide for this themselves. The youth is unable to enter this program if these needs are not met.

I am hoping that I can find someone that wants to help a recently single mom who has found the courage to leave an abusive partner and start over with five children. Children age in the range of 4 to 13 and three have special needs. This mom has worked hard to secure a duplex for the next two years and works for the school district so she can be home with the kids when not in school. I hope whoever receives this request knows how deserving this precious family really is. Through all the troubles this family has endured through faith and family. They have always welcomed everyone with smiles and laughter. I am hoping to help them by getting twin bunk beds with plastic protectors and extra mattress pads.
