This family is on my caseload working on self-sufficiency. The mother on this case has worked very hard, and is currently expecting a baby on 11/9. Her and her SO just moved into a new apartment to have room for the baby. They are in need of furniture items to make this apartment a home for their family, specifically in need of a couch, a dresser, and a dining room table. The Denver Department of Human Services' annual #BeAGiver Holiday Gift Drive is launching Nov 1 and will go through Dec 9! We are seeking holiday gifts to support families and children in need served across the agency, predominantly in Child Protection, Foster Care or in emergency situations like homelessness. Parents to their 1 year old son are expecting their second child to be born in December. These parents are processing through their honest emotions of having two children under two years old. The mom is accessing support to process these emotions now to be in the best place she can to parent both of her children well. As the family prepares financially to support their family, they are asking for help accessing some of the larger items needed to safely care for their children. They need help getting a bassinet as well as a toddler convertible car seat. We ask for new items. If the items are gently used, we ask for photos to share with the family for their approval. This 3 month old baby boy is growing big and strong but needs more clothes, extra formula and few baby items( tummy time mat, highchair new or gently used, toys) are needed.
