Two parents have worked extremely hard to get their baby back. They have done extraordinarily well. Income is tight, and they ride bikes to get where they need to go. A bike buggy to assist them in taking the baby with them would be super helpful. The child has been back in the home for a few months and is doing so well with his parents. Again a new or used bike buggy (they have bikes) would be fantastic to helping them.

We are currently working with a mom who has found a stable home for her and her two kids (ages 1 and 5). She was approved for the home, but just needs help with her deposit so she can move in as soon as as possible. Mom just returned home from completing her out-of-state treatment, so does not have the ability to come up with the deposit in the time needed. She is needing assistance with the large deposit of $500. This home means a lot to her. It will allow her to have a stable place to reside while she secures a job that gives her a steady, reliable income and allows for her to maintain the home. She is looking forward to engaging in the rest of her services and is hopeful to being reunified with her children. Biological mother is engaged in services and recently obtained a place of her own. Biological mom is two months postpartum with a newborn baby girl. Biological mom is working towards finding a job but will need childcare for the baby before she can begin working. Biological mom found a daycare in the area she is living, however the daycare requires a non-refundable application fee. Due to biological mom being two months postpartum, she has not been able to work and therefore cannot afford the application fee at this time. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Parent in need of financial assistance paying for a required assessment on the ISP treatment plan. Family recently started a new job and is working to catch up on some bills. Completion of this assessment is one of the final barriers limiting the family from moving forward with reunification. Parents have been engaged in other services on their treatment plans and continue to make behavioral progress. Family is also in need of fuel cards to help with the cost of gas for family time visitation, completion of ISP assessment, and court hearing. The family has been very appreciative of the support they have received to date and appear to be making progress toward financial stability.

Foster mother recently took a sibling set of two to get them out of a shelter. She already has a sibling set of two and another adopted son. She has had to make a lot of accommodations and changes to her home to make the space possible to take the new sibling set. These children also came to her home with next to nothing so she is having to purchase a lot of items for them to get them ready for their new school. She requesting help with her electric bill. Worker has a copy of the bill and the payment can be made directly to the electric company.

Mom left Colorado with her three young children about 18 months ago, trying to get away from an abusive situation. After living in their car for a while, someone gave them a trailer to live in, where they only needed to pay lot rent. The trailer was full of junk, and in a state of disrepair, but Mom has worked hard, and managed to make the trailer safe for the children, but there is still a lot of work to be done. Mom has a car that wasn't running, so she scraped together money to buy a truck, but the head gasket blew on the way home. That has been repaired, but the truck is not in the least bit reliable. No transportation makes it impossible to find steady employment, and now her oldest son has broken two limbs (school playground mishap), and he will need to be transported to doctor's appointments. She has swallowed her pride, and asked for help from neighbors, but if she could get some assistance with repairs around the house, and reliable transportation, it would mean the world to her.

Grandpa, mom and 2 year old toddler live in the home. They are financially struggling to pay bills because grandpa is having a hard time finding employment right now. Mom is staying at home with the 2 year old child. Their water has been shut off for approximately two weeks, using water jugs and traveling to other peoples homes to shower and do laundry. The family also is struggling with a roach infestation needing assistance with extermination. Fulfilling this need will improve the 2 year old and caregivers daily living and well-being as well as providing a sanitary household.

Single mom and 15 year old daughter live together and are struggling financially. They have been without power due to not being able to pay their bill. Mom is struggling to find work but at this time cannot afford to pay to have the electric turned back on. Helping this family will ensure the child's quality of daily living.

We have a foster parent who stepped up when a placement was desperately needed for a hard to place teenager. Our kiddo, when placed, was excited to tell the worker that he had a homemade meal for the first time in a long time! This foster parent has not been fully approved and has an issue with the gas bill. After taking care of our custody child without payment, the foster mom went ahead and took placement of the sibling. These two had not lived together since coming into custody two years ago! The foster parent has gone beyond the call of duty, even spending time at the hospital with our teenager while he had open heart surgery and did all the follow up requirements after the surgery that included him having to have an oxygen tank. This foster mom has helped these kiddos so much, please help us to now help her.

A Young Father has just moved into an apartment and is set to begin overnight visits soon. Natural father has just begun working and prior to overnight visits beginning, he needs to have two beds for the children to sleep in while being with natural father. We have a young adult who is 16 and looking for 2-4 adults to mentor him for one year. He is looking to grow in his faith and get back to church. He is excited to have awesome mentors in his life to support him while he finishes high school and one day join the military. He is funny and loves to cheer others up when they are down. I have a family in a situation where they do not have regular access to activities to keep entertained. The mom is asking for a portable DVD player so the kids can watch movies in a quiet environment when playing with toys is not an option. This will help keep the kids occupied and help lessen the behaviors related to boredom.

This mother has worked so diligently over the last year and successfully closed her DHS case. We are proud to say she has exceeded every expectation of DHS, her counselor, her team here at Pearl’s Hope, and her expectations for herself! She is a phenomenal mother to her toddler. It’s been a joy to watch her adjust along with her child’s development and continue to learn new parenting skills. This summer, she completed her training to become an electrician apprentice, obtained a job, and has been saving money to move to her own home! She is able to pay all of her upfront moving costs but she does not have quite enough saved for furniture. OKSA student in financial need to help aid her in paying rent and utilities (PSO-Electric) in her home for herself and her child due to illness that caused her to missed work. Her absence from work was excused without pay. Assistance with September's rent and utilities will allow this student to continue to further her education and alleviate the risk of eviction and the students fear of being homeless or without basic utilities in her home for her to complete her education and to continue to provide for her child.
