Mom is engaged in treatment program to get back on track for her baby son and herself. In the meantime, Grandma has stepped up to care for baby. As happens so many times, grandma struggles with this new unplanned responsibility. She is a home healthcare worker and could really use some supportive orthopedic shoes. She wears a size 8W and prefers black but would be grateful for any color. She would also like some Dreft laundry detergent to wash the baby's clothes. Any assistance for this unsung hero would be very much appreciated.

DHS is working with a father and son who both are special needs. Their hot water heater burst right after the Thanksgiving holiday and flooded their home resulting in all carpeting being removed and standing water in the bedrooms. The place is unsuitable to be lived in until the contractors can remove the water and fix the issue. This family is needing a place to stay for the duration of the repairs. This could be a hotel stay or something else. This father has worked hard to maintain placement of his son and provide for him and his special needs. Providing housing for this family would help keep this father with this son in a safe home. Thank you for partnering with Oklahoma's vulnerable population.

Mom is working overtime trying to get caught up. Every little amount she can save, she saves toward transportation to make her family's life easier. Right now, assistance with formula for the baby would be a great help and would enable her to put a little bit more in that transportation fund! This little boy is a good eater and quickly overcoming his health issues. He eats Gerber Goodstart Gentle Pro (the orange label formula). Assistance with formula will be very much appreciated and will do more for this family than anyone can imagine!

Now that mom is alone in heading the household it can be a struggle to keep the bills paid. This woman has had a lot of (too much) tragedy over the past several years; it's a lot to deal with while raising a child. This month the electric bill is way behind and disconnection is close to reality. Mom needs some help with the bill; it will require $153.00 to keep the service on, but another $465.00 to pay the bill entirely. Any assistance with all or part of this bill is very much appreciated and would be a great help.

2 children have been placed in an out of home safety plan with their father. The father is taking great care of them but is having a hard time financially with two extra kids in the holiday season. He is needing to get vital records replaced for the two children and cannot afford it. He is needing original certified birth certificates for each child. We are asking for help in getting this father the birth certificates for his children. Thank you for your generosity, especially in this time of year that can be hard on so many in our community!

A bio mom has worked hard to reunify with her 2 and a half year-old son and he has now been back in her home for over a month. Mom is taking her son to CAP daily, therapies twice weekly for his autism, and to a babysitter on the evenings that she works. All of this driving is a significant financial commitment for her and she has asked for some assistance in the form of a gas card. Thank you for all you do!

A bio mom has worked hard to reunify with her 2 and a half year-old son and he has now been back in her home for over a month. Mom currently does not have a washer or dryer at her apartment and has been going to the laundromat outside of her family time visits. Having a dryer in her residence would greatly help as her son has autism and weekly trips to the laundromat for extended periods of time are a difficult outing for him. Any help with this request is greatly appreciated and this request can be met by multiple parties if necessary. Thank you for all you do!

My client is a single mother who is working towards reunification with her daughter. She has voluntarily agreed to take a hair follicle test in order to prove her sobriety. The hair follicle test costs $120 at Tulsa Drug Screening in Tulsa. She would greatly appreciate it if a church would pay for this test. Thank you in advance for helping pay for this test.

We are serving 1 newborn male child, who was displaced and has now entered foster care (with 3 foster siblings in the home preceding him) with only the clothing, hospital blankets and bottles they were given by the hospital. The family is in need of all clothing necessities including about zip up sleeper onesies, baby blankets and bottles as soon as possible. The child is currently in newborn and 0-3 month clothing. The foster family has purchased all other necessities. The foster family is willing to accept clothing or whatever is given to them at this point. They just want to make sure this child's needs are met.

Burmese Family #2
Catholic Charities will welcome another Burmese refugee family in December. This family is parents with an 8 year old. We do not have beds for the family and would welcome help providing the family with beds. I do not have a firm date for when they will arrive in December, but we will set up their apartment on December 4th. Then after they are welcomed at the airport, they will go straight to their furnished apartment with their case manager! It is always a joy to see the family's peace as they enter their new fully furnished apartment.
Gender Neutral Items are best.
Catholic Charities will walk with this family thru immediate case management for 3 months after their arrival. We will help with apartment set up, legal documents (like SS#), job placement, establishing medical care, enrolling their child in school, and much more. Helping the family with household items is a huge way to help the family get established in Tulsa!
