My client is a single mother of three children ages six, one, and two months old. She lives in a shelter with her three children. She is estranged from her birth parents and been on her own since she was in high school. She has little social support and limited financial means. She is in need of a baby activity center and an infant swing to keep her son occupied, so she can rest her arms from holding him all day. Any immediate assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Location: New York, NY 10027-County:New York-Children Served: 1-Adults Served: 1-Agency: #Avail NYC-Tier 1: Physical Needs-Estimated Value:$102
My client is a single mother of a 10-month-old boy. She works as a nanny to support herself and her son. My client's entire family resides in Ohio and she has little social support in Brooklyn, where she lives. Now that her son is almost one year old, he is in need of a walker to help keep him busy as he learns to walk. Any help you can provide my client would be greatly appreciated.
Children at a migrant shelter are in need of essential clothing items. When they are arriving at shelters, they have the opportunity to go through donated items but oftentimes these items are damaged, not the right sizes and not seasonally appropriate.
Assisting with this multi-family request will provide a child with a bundle of clothing that includes two shirts, two pants, socks, under garments and shoes. The suggested donation is $60 but any amount is greatly appreciated as we are working towards the goal of adopting specific shelters and ensuring that every child has their basic clothing needs met.

My client is a single mother of a seven month old son and lives in a transitional shelter. She has been out of work after giving birth to her son. She accepted a full-time job and will start work in July. The babysitter, a trusted family friend, who will watch my client's son while my client is at work has asked for a portable infant crib for the baby to nap in. Since my client has been out of work and not earning income, she is unable to purchase the portable crib on her own. Any immediate assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
My client is 36 weeks pregnant and lives in a shelter in Brooklyn. My client has very little social support. Her parents told her to move out of their home upon learning that she was pregnant. And the father of my client's baby has cut all ties with her after she decided against getting an abortion.
My client is in need of an infant car seat. She has limited financial means, because she was diagnosed with a high risk pregnancy preventing her from working full-time hours. The hospital she plans to deliver in requires that she have an infant car seat to bring her son home in. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

A stroller is needed for a single mother of 3. Her car recently broke down and is too expensive to fix. She is going to sell it for scrap, put that money in the bank and save up for a new car. This stroller would help her get the kids from her apartment to their day care/pre-school across town.

A migrant family, consisting of a mother and father and their two sons ages 6 and 7 years old, are in need of clothing and shoes for their two sons. They have attempted to go through donation boxes at their shelter and at my location but are having a hard time finding their sizes and things that are appropriate for the current weather. The boys wear size 2 in shoes and size 8 and 10 in clothes. Assisting this family would ease their financial burdens and help the children have the clothing that they so urgently need.

I have a mom that has been living in a homeless shelter for the past 3 years with her baby girl. She moved into her apartment in the Bronx a week ago. As she was preparing to move all of her belongings out the staff threw her remaining items away thinking she wasn't returning to collect them. What a shame! She's in need of several items and is appreciative of any help she can get for her and here daughter to live comfortably. She is an active Jr. Leader with us and is B student in college. Shes amazing and needs a hand up.

The Family had unexpected expenses and were not able to afford to pay this bill on time. We are putting amounts in small increments, to make it easier for community to help this family. Thank you for your assistance and help.
Working with a single mom of 2 daughters ( 2yrs & 11yrs) who are seeking refuge in NYC after fleeing Colombia. They arrived a few days ago with just the clothes on their back. We are looking to fill these needs immediate needs while they await placement in a family shelter. They are currently in temporary housing at Hotel Le Jolie in Williamsburg. These needs being met will alleviate some of the shock factor of the journey to NYC and their current unstable situation.
