DCCCA is currently working with two teen mothers who are in critical need of baby monitors. One of them has a 13-day old, beautiful baby and she is a teen mom that could benefit from having a monitor to effectively care and attend to her sweet baby girl. Unfortunately, this teen mom is a migrant who came with no family and has no support. Our second momma has multiple babies who are in need of constant monitoring as they are now fast and tend to wander around. Keeping them safe is important and necessary. Please consider helping these beautiful children and young moms. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you for reading and God bless you!
A student needs an Uber gift card to get to NCC when PHS is not in session. When school is not in session, students are still expected to attend NCC. Due to this student not having transportation to get to NCC, they are being penalized for their attendance. This student is in a family with a single mother who cannot transport this student. An Uber Gift Card would assist him in getting to and from NCC and in turn would improve his attendance.

I have a family who lost a child while the child was in foster care. The sibling to the child that passed away is still in care and has been really struggling with the losing sibling. The family would like to be able to take the clothes of the child and have blanket/clothing bears made for the sibling. I am putting in the request for gift cards to get assistance in helping pay for the costs of the bears so it is one less thing the parents will have to worry about financially.

Mother is on a THV with her 2 year old son She has made lots of progress of the year and has stable housing and is drug free. Her son is growing quickly and unfortunately all the clothes she was given he has out grown, or he just only has 3 pairs of socks for example. I asked Mom send me a list of the clothing she needs for her son. this is the list, 10-15 pairs of 2t socks, 4 pairs of 3t jeans, 4 pairs of 3t sweats, 4 pairs of 3t hoodies, 4-5 shirts sized 3t, a winter coat, snow boots, 2 sweaters 3t, and 2 pairs of tennis shoes size 6. I have went upon myself and research how much each of these things would cost at Walmart. Socks are $19.99 for a 12 pack, Jeans are $15 a pair, sweats and hoodies we can do bundles a matching set for $12.53 for the hoodie and sweats or $20.76 for a three pack of sweats or $11.98 for one hoodie, Shirts $17.92 for a 4 pack, winter coat is $23.98, snow boost size 6 are $28.99, tennis shoes size black neutral pair $16.87 colorful pair $18.44, and sweaters would be $11.64 each. After calculating it all up the total was $279.80. I'm asking for $300 for Mom for any extra taxes or fees and to make sure her son can get everything he needs. I will accompany her on the clothing hall so we make sure we get the right items priced on this form.

A mother and her 6th grade son recently went from being homeless to getting assistance and moving into a small duplex. Prior to that, she lived with her parents and one died in 2019, and the other parent died in 2020. The house that she and her son lived in was foreclosed on last year, therefore ,they became homeless. All of her belongings went into storage and she had her friend put the bill in his name (School Social Worker has a copy of it). None of the payments for storage were paid, therefore, she has received a notice that all of these belongings are going up for auction. She is going to settle with the storage company and pay what she can, move what she needs to her home, and the rest of her stuff to her other storage unit. She and her son both have some significant functioning needs as well as mental health needs and they work with Beacon (Formerly Tri-County) to help get their needs met. They just need a little help getting her new living arrangements furnished AS WELL as help moving the items. She will need a U-Haul, some volunteers to move her belongings. She also does not have a car. SHE WILL NEED ASSISTANCE MOVING THE WEEKEND OF DECEMBER 2ND AND 3RD. STORAGE FACILITY IS EXTRA SPACE STORAG ON ANTIOCH ROAD. MOVING ITEMS FROM THERE TO PARKVILLE.

This is a mother who recently reunited with the children's father after they worked on some issues. The children's father recently got his old job back and has been traveling back and forth to work through a job share. The children's mother lost her job because she was no longer able to drive her car due to losing the key in late October. The car is a 1996 Oldsmobile Sierra. Mom has a job waiting for her at Amazon but she needs the key to start the car. I spoke to a locksmith who is able to get another key made but told me it would be two separate keys (one for the door and one for ignition) and to travel to mom's location it would be a total of $315.87.

Family needs a weighted vest for kiddo with high energy. School has recommended the family invests in a weighted vest for when he is unregulated and can't hold his attention. The family can't afford the vest but is in need of the vest due to lack of options left to help this kiddo.

This family is working on getting their finances in order, and are taking steps to continue to be financially stable. Dad has just gotten a new job, and is looking at moving to a more affordable apartment when the lease is up in January. he is current on all bills, however, his car payment has gotten out of hand, as he missed a few payments, and despite everything he is trying to do, he cannot seem to get ahead on his payments. He is worried that his car will be repossessed which will put his new job in jeopardy, as he will struggle to have reliable transportation to get there. He said if he could just get some help with getting back up to date on his car, he'll be in much better shape to continue working on staying financially stable, as well as keeping his credit at an ok spot so he can be approved for either a new apartment or a home loan. Dad and the social worker at the school are looking into veterans loan options as well, as he is a veteran and know that there are various assistance plans available to him through the military.

Need help in purchasing new football cleats and helmet visor for a 14 y/o boy who recently reunified with his mom. Throughout his time in care he changed between multiple placements and different schools. Despite the many transfers, the teenager maintained excellent grades and attendance and has been able to play football at each school. He is growing rapidly and needs new cleats and a required visor for his new team. Football is extremely important to him and he works hard to ensure he can play in addition to his educational goals. He has high hopes and aspirations to attend college and interest in computers/coding. He utilizes football as a healthy coping skill and gains many skills from his coaches and team such as teamwork, discipline, and physical exercise. Either the specific items or a gift card to a sporting goods store would help obtain the items and allow him to pick out the right fit/style himself as he is learning financial skills as a teenager such as how much items cost, how to shop around, and check out/pay for yourself. Helping meet this need would free up funds in the home for other necessary items.

Two single moms, each with 2 children, are in need of extra support. Although they are both employed, they struggle financially to make ends meet. They are in need of basic furniture items for their home, including a couch, a kitchen table with 6 chairs, a vacuum cleaner, and clothing storage items. A plastic dresser or storage cart for each child would be ideal. The children include a girl (age 10) and three boys (ages, 7, 4, & 4). Thank you for any help you may be able to provide. Having a table and chairs in time for Thanksgiving would be a blessing.

Our building is needs some additional pairs of sweat pants. We keep a stock of sweatpants available to students who have a clothing emergency at school. This is often used by students with disabilities or students that have a hard time getting weather appropriate clothing. We try to get these items returned to be washed for multiple uses, but on occasion they are taken and not returned.
Special Instructions:
10 Size M and 10 size S sweat pants- neutral colors.

We are desperately asking for donations and/or someone that can provide hair care services to one of our children currently in need. Over the last few months this youth has been through a lot and is now stable enough to work on her own health and wellbeing. This youth's natural hair is currently severely damaged and we have received a quote from a local salon for $900 to fix the damage and redo her sisterlocks.
