I am requesting to assist a family with a gift card for groceries. One of the caregivers in the home recently lost her job and the family has been struggling financially to cover living expenses. The family does not qualify for SNAP benefits as they are right above the threshold and caregivers have visited local food pantries to hold them over, however they are still struggling to feed the family of 4. A single father of a nine month old baby is in need of a car seat. The father was given custody of baby and was given a car seat that is old, outdated, dirty and not up to code. This car seat will help the wellbeing of this child and help the single father who does not have much money.

I have a single mother with 3 children. 1 year old female, 2- and 5-year-old males and is currently 8 months pregnant. She is in need of household items, baby items for her unborn child, and current children such as beds, bedding, clothing, diapers, wipes and a stroller to accommodate all 4 children. She walks everywhere. She walks daily to drop off the oldest at school and any doctor appointments she needs to attend to. She is seeking help for the stroller the most as she is struggling to physically carry an infant and 2 toddlers on her own. If we can find a quad stroller that would help her have all the kids in one stroller. Helping her with a bus pass as well can help her walk less to get to her destinations needed. She has her own apartment at this time and is currently sleeping on an air mattress with both boys while the little girl sleeps in her crib. I am working with a grandma who is currently caring for all four of her grandchildren due to ongoing concerns with their mother, and their mother is also terminally ill. Grandma is doing everything she can to provide her grandchildren to meet their basic needs, and ensure they have a safe and stable environment to prevent them from coming into care. 15 YOA is currently expecting her first child, and the family seems overwhelmed with setting up things with the baby. (2 yoa male) Clothes size 3t -4t (Diapers are needed as well size 5 or 6 Child 4 (15 YOA Female) size 0 in women and shirts a medium or small in women (may need maternity clothes) Maternal grandma would also benefit from extra resources around the community that can assist with helping with housing.

This family is struggling financially, and are living with family. The children are sleeping in inflatable mattresses and the one year old is sleeping in a toddler bed with a sibling. We have tried other resources for beds for the children and have been unsuccessful. The children will star school soon and to be able to have a comfortable night sleep will help them wake up, ready to learn. The one year is sleeping with a young sibling and they are not able to have restful nights, they wake up often and at times they have fallen from the bed. If the need is not met the children and/or the parents can become sick or have heat stroke due to the extreme high temperatures in Texas, which can be unsafe.
