The birth mother is a young 18 year old who has qualified for extended foster care services up to the age of 21. She was removed from her birth mother as a minor and has been in foster care since 2019 when there were allegations of general neglect and mother was intoxicated in Los Angeles County. This young mother is now enrolled in American Career College to become a medical assistant, and is on leave for three months after giving birth to her first baby girl in September 2023. The mother will resume school in three months and has submitted the required documents for school to justify leave. This client is being submitted for services/support/referrals in meeting her dental needs as she did not get braces prior to the age of 18 years old. She is willing to use her existing foster care checks to make payments, therefore she is requesting assitance in locating community resources for reduced orthodontic care for foster youth. She is also a new mother and has requested a playmat for her young baby who will benefit from a stimulating mat. This young lady is trying her hardest to carve a better future for her child by attending school and trying to better her circumstances. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

This birth father has worked hard to reunify with his two very young children. He successfully completed all required case plan activities and is ready to be a single father. The court agreed with this and placed the children back into his care full time this week. The father's youngest child (boy) is 1 1/2 years old and is special needs, which requires multiple ongoing medical appointments and therapy. The father will need a car seat to assist with transportation to and from these appointments. Therefore an infant car seat is being requested on his behalf. The father is very grateful and has declined any other needs as he was able to get a car seat for his daughter (age 2 1/2) and a double stroller for them. He is very humble and knows he has to be there for his young children since they have been in foster care for over a year. He is dedicating his full attention to their needs and will be a stay at home father until they are school aged.

This request is for 19 year old foster youth who is in need of a longer bed due to his large stature. He is 6'3" tall and has outgrown his twin bed. He is a resilient youth who was living a transient lifestyle with his mom and siblings due to his mother's unresolved history of substance abuse. He has little outside support but identifies his former foster parents and the social worker as lifelong connections and they are able to attend his football games and encourage him. He is now learning independent living skills and moved into a transitional housing program located in Los Angeles County.

Hello, I have a 17 year old, male, who would love to spend his Christmas break with his older brother and extended family in Minnesota. Child has not seen his older brother in years and would really like to go. This child's goal is to age out in May 2024 when he graduates high school. Child's plan is to age out and move to Minnesota where his older brother will be able to be a huge support to him and help guide him as he navigates adulthood. Spending his winterbreak with his family would be a great opportunity for them to strengthen their bond and spend time together before child's next big step of aging out. Any help towards a round trip airplane ticket would be much appreciated. Thank you!

A single mom with 3 young children has fled a violent situation and is trying very hard to get back on her feet and support her family. Her current vehicle has been very unreliable and has required multiple service repairs. It is also not large enough to properly accomodate 3 carseats. Both mom and I realize this is a very big ask, but if you know someone that has a reliable and safe vehicle that they are interested in donating to a very sweet and gracious young mom who could really use the support, please let me know. Or, if you would be willing to help with the cost of her current car repairs, please let me know and I will provide further details. Thank you!
