A single mother of 2 is in desperate need of getting her water turned back on, as the family has gone almost a full week with no water. The landlord is hassling this family after taking a long time to fix a busted water pipe, and recently has refused to assist with the bill that was accumulated during the waiting period. In addition, the family recently received a gas stove that is missing the required gas line to complete the installation. The family had been without a stove for a few weeks now, and receiving the $75 piece for the stove would allow the family to prepare hot meals again. Lastly, this family is in need of two twin boxsprings to finish setting up beds for the children.
The family consists of 2 children with elevated developmental needs. The parents work full-time but with the children's elevated needs, they continue to struggle to make ends meet. The parents have worked hard on cleaning up their home to ensure a safe and healthy environment for the children. The family is in need of a kitchen table, living room couch and bedding for both children.

Family is requesting a stroller for one of their children. Child is almost 2 years old and not able to sit on her own due to medical condition. She has a major vision impairment which is hendering her development due to not being able to see. Her family doesn't have any forms of transportation. Family is low-income. Mom walks her other child to school and typically has to carry her almost 2 year old. Mom is no longer able to walk her son to school anymore because her daughter is getting too heavy for her to hold as she needs constant support. Therefore her brother hasn't been attending school as his mother isn't able to take him. The ISD will not provide her son bus transportation. There may be miscommunication due to language barriers. Family worker is attempting to work with the family.
Requesting a nice heavy duty stroller for her to be able to use. One that is Reversed where child can face mom when she is pushing so can make sure that she is safe.

A large family with 7 kids is in need of beds, bedding, and mattresses. The children are staying with family who has lovingly opened their home to them but are currently sleeping on the floor as well as sharing one large bed. The family would like to be able to create a space where each child will have their own bed, helping the kids have a sense of belonging and cutting down on the chaos in the children's lives.

A 13 year old girl (will be 14 on April 2!) finally connecting with a family member willing to provide a home. There is a closed for the child’s clothes, but a dresser would improve her comfort and wliminate a basket for socks, underwear etc..
A chest of drawers would be fine but a longer burrow that could fits along a wall at the foot of her bed would be great! A sturdy dresser is all that is needed. If the finish is well loved, it could be repainted easily by this creative girl.
My hope is this kinship placement becomes the long term permanent place for her!

This request pertains to mother and 4 children: (age 3, Male), (age 6, Male), (age 7, Male), and (age 8, Female). The family is in need of a fridge and stove. Currently, the family is unable to purchase a fridge or stove, making it so they have to go buy food daily or eat out. This is ultimately putting a financial strain on the family in not being able to store items that require refrigeration or conveniently cook meals. A fridge and stove would promote the lasting safety of the children as the appliances would aid in adequately caring for the children.
Two children were moved out of mother' s home and into Father's home. Father has space for the children, but not enough beds. The teenage girls are having to share beds currently. Father is in need of two twin beds for his younger children so the teenage girls can have their own beds.
The father in this case has been struggling for some time to meet the needs of his 3 children. 2 of them are specifically very high needs, one is diagnosed with autism and the other is in the process of being diagnosed. He has been working hard to catch up on his rent and has been putting nearly every paycheck towards keeping his modest home that the children are excited about living in with him. It has not been enough. He is behind 1500, 400 from last month and 1100 from this month. After having this issue since December the property manager has declined to work with him any longer and will proceed with eviction, leaving the father homeless and the children without a home to reintegrate into. The father has advised this worker that he was originally given 30 days, but now the property management has given him a notice that it must be paid by 5:00 tomorrow or he will be taken to court. Thank you for reading this and any assistance will help. If the full need is not able to be met by the deadline, the case team will return any contribution provided.
Marianne:

A low-income family is in need of a temporary dumpster as they are cleaning and making small renovations to their home. A dumpster would only be needed for a few days. Such efforts will assist the family to improve the condition of their home to be appropriate for returning the children home. Parents are very respectful and motivated to have their children reintegrate, they will likely be flexible to coordinate this assistance.
An aunt of a 17-year-old female is trying very hard to become placement of her niece. She is moving out of her own room to allow the niece to have it and only needs a twin-size mattress for her niece to be placed with her. As soon as she has a mattress, this child who has struggled in many foster homes will be reunited with a family member who is loving and supportive of her. Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

The child has been sleeping with the caregiver for a while now as the child has grown too big for the crib and often climbs out of it in the middle of the night causing a safety concern for the child. The family is on a limited budget and needs assistance in obtaining these items so that the child can safely sleep in their own bed and space.
This is a request for a single mama with 4 children and one more on the way. During the Christmas season, an administrator went to the home to deliver angel tree gifts and noticed that the apartment was completely bare. We have worked to assist the family in staples such as furniture, clothing, cookware, etc. Recently, the mother requested an infant carseat for the child she is expecting. Also, the 3rd grade son is seeking a children's large winter jackets. The children are always extremely excited and grateful when we visit!
A NRKIN foster home recently took placement of a sibling set of two children, female age 3 and male age 2. The family could use some more clothes and shoes for the children as well as an additional car seat. The shoe sizes for the children are 7-8 for the boy and size 8 for the girl. Any help with clothes, shoes and/or car seat for this family would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
A kinship placement took custody of a teenager and does not have any appropriate furniture for her. She is in need of a full mattress, bedframe, and a dresser. Thank you for your consideration and support to help preserve a kinship placement!

DCCCA is assisting a medically high needs child that has to be weighed daily for his G-tube feedings. It has been requested by his doctors that the family get a Bluetooth bath scale that can keep track of each of his weights and the results will be sent directly to Children's Mercy. The family is overwhelmed with current bills and the donation of this scale would improve their lives drastically, and make reporting to all their child's doctors so much easier. Any assistance to this family would be a huge blessing, thank you! If you are able to assist I can forward an amazon link of the appropriate scale!
