Children's Division is asking for assistance in getting a family a crib for their baby boy. The father is raising his child in his home and is in need of a crib, crib mattress, and fitted sheets/bedding.
Our agency was involved due to allegations of a physical altercation among adults in the home in the presence of the children. The allegations, however, were unsubstantiated and thus the investigation closed. The father who is caring for his 3 year old daughter and 3 month son did relay that he is trying to stabilize his financial situation to provide for the needs of his children. He continues to look for work and has secured CalWORKs assistance in the meantime. The children would greatly benefit from clothing, food and bed sheets.
The 3 year old daughter wears size 6 clothes and size 1 shoes
The newborn wears clothing for 6-9 month old boy

Good afternoon, I recently began servicing a student and his mother this past month. The student and his mother were unhoused for a few months and have just moved into an apartment in South Gate, CA. The mother is not working and cannot provide the student the finances he needs to use the Metro to get to school/or buy a monthly tap card. The student is facing decreased attendance in school because he is unable to get to school on time. I have spoken to the student, and both came to the agreement that the student's attendance and academic performance will improve. The mother is extremely involved in the student's services, and the student is consistent with his therapy sessions. Our agency thanks your organization and support in advance and hopes to help the student improve in overall functioning. Weblinks for the bicycle are in the notes section. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Maternal aunt is currently caring for four young children due to them being removed from the care of their parents. She desires to provide long term care. The caregiver is currently in need of two (2) twin beds for her twin nephews. Her funds are limited and she is currently unable to provide this need at this time. Assistance for this family would greatly enhance the quality of the children's lives and would be most appreciated.
I have a student at the high school who is wanting to attend his senior prom. He currently has a brother who is going through expensive treatments and at this time it is a single parent household and money is tight. He has been informed by his parent that they will not be able to afford a tux/suit for the prom. I have reached out to a local business who is willing to provide the student with the best style and fit for the big day for $125 and will run it under the schools name so there will be no taxes. They are also agreeable to do a fitting at no cost. If anyone is agreeable to assist this student, we can give him a senior prom to remember! Thank you in advance.

The awesome news is we have opened our new maternity home for homeless young women! We have two clients with newborns who need small or mini cribs with rounded corners. The bedrooms are small so the cribs need to be small. Previously, our clients were living on the streets and are 18-24 years old. They have been victims of sex trafficking and domestic violence. We are trying to house them and provide supportive services, help them with employment, and care for their newborns. This is an urgent need since they are currently sleeping with their babies - which is not ideal or safe. Please help us ASAP! Thank you!

The caregiver is currently caring for her two young grandchildren ages 2 years and 1 year old. She expressed interest in long term care if the option is made available. She is currently in need of a double stroller to assist her in transporting the children. The caregiver would be most appreciative of the assistance as it will allow her some convenience during transportation for the children.
I wanted to request tier 1 CARE portal funds for a transitioning youth as he was approved to reside in a transitional housing, but does not qualify for transitional youth plus benefits as he resides outside of LA County. The youth does not have any permanent life connections with family/friends and as his social worker I am trying to help set him for success by helping with his transition out of foster care.
Therefore this youth is requesting assistance with a Target gift card to be able to purchase household/personal needed items that he can obtain to support him with his transition into his new new home so that he may continue to work on his goals towards independence. I wanted to request CARE portal supportive services with the following items:
• Target gift card- $100
The items will help this youth tremendously as it will allow him to purchase needed household furniture, household items, and personal hygiene/clothing.
Nita:
Today we are giving him the $100 target card, new socks, non Perishables and cleaning supplies. Our foster care ministry is going to reach out to him regularly as well.

Mom and dad have 5 children together and the father brought 2 additional children. The beds are for an 8 year old little girl and a 10 year old little girl. Their current sleeping arrangement is the two little girls sleep with their mother when dad is on the road as a truck driver, or they sleep with siblings when dad is home. The family is asking for two twin beds and mattresses. This would allow for each child to have their own bed and their own space to sleep.
I have a mom who has new bunk beds she needs helping getting put together for her children. She is a mom of 6 and does not have anyone that is able to get them put together for the children. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a teenage boy who could use a new comforter and sheets set for a twin bed. His mom could use someone who could be a mentor to her 14-year-old son. Mom could also use help from an extreme organizer or house cleaner who could help her with getting rid of a lot of items.
Hello-We are asking for a twin bed with mattress and bed frame for the 3rd born child and a couch because the children reside with the grandmother and before our involvement shared a room and bed with grandmother. Due to safety reasons and regulations the children cannot sleep in the same bed as their grandmother. Because the home needs to be RFA approved, each child needs to have their own bed. The family can not afford to buy a bed or a couch at this time due to financial hardship. We want to ensure that these children are able to stay in this placement/home instead of entering foster care, so if there is someone out there that can help this grandmother meet this need we would be so grateful. Thank you for your consideration!
