A mother and daughter have been evicted by the father and sought shelter. They identified an apartment and were able to get in right away. Mother is now 30 minutes away from her job and daughter's preschool. Mother is needing help with firsts month's rent so she can have a safe and secure place to live. Mother is starting over with new furniture and belongings around the holidays which has been a financial burden. If this need is met, she will have a roof over her and her daughter's head and can save money this month to afford rent in January 2024.
If this is picked up the lease can be provided for payment needs.

A paternal aunt and uncle with 6 children of their own have taken in 6 children removed from their home. The children's ages are 14, 13, 10, 4, 2, and 1 year old. The household has unsecured cleaning supplies and could greatly benefit from help obtaining a set of childproofing materials to include a door knob. A gift card to purchase child proofing items and to secure household cleaning supplies would be helpful. Any assistance with this request would be greatly appreciated to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children during this time of displacement.
NEEDED:
A $40 Walmart, Amazon, or Target gift card to purchase childproofing materials for the household cleaning supplies

Help a family in need by providing a Christmas tree for them this year! Despite continuous challenges, this mom wants to make Christmas special for her kids. She is working so hard to support her children and make things as normal as possible this year. We would be so, so grateful to have a Christmas tree donation or a gift card to go get this family a tree. They are without transportation so they would need it delivered by either the donator or the school. Thank you SO much in advance!!

This family is struggling with homelessness. The family consist of a single mother and three younger children. The family was previously staying at a shelter but was kicked out for not making it back in time in the evening due to vehicle issues. The mother is trying to find another shelter to stay at and has applied to numerous housing resources and all of them are on waitlist. Unfortunately the mother's only other choice is to sleep in the car with the children until she can find another shelter. The family is in need of sleeping bags that are rated for negative degrees to help keep them warm overnight. I think they would only need two sleeping bags as two of the children can share and the mother can share with one of the children as well. I found a sleeping bag on Amazon for $179 called ALPS OutdoorZ Sleeping-Bags Redwood -25.

We are working with a mother that has been homeless for a year. She just found out she is getting into transitional housing on 12/1/23, right before Christmas. Ideally, she will have her son home with her before Christmas so he can spend some time with her before she delivers a new baby in March. She needs all house things, as well as items for the baby. I had her create a registry for baby items if you could share with the folks you know.
Housing Items:
Queen Mattress + Frame + sheet/comforter set
Twin Frame (have a mattress) + boy sheet set and comforter
Small Dining Table and chairs
Small Couch/Something to sit on
Kitchen dishes and pots
Toilet Paper
Bathroom needs (towels, wash cloths, soap, shampoo)

This family consist of a single mother caring for four children. The mother is struggling with some of the children's behaviors. The children have been sneaking out of the home at night. Mom is doing everything she can to get the behaviors under control with services such as therapy. The mom feels that something that could help ensure the children are staying at home and not sneaking out in the middle of the night is having chimes on all the doors and windows. The mother needs support in getting these chimes. There are at least three doors that need a chime and 6 windows that need chimes.

This request is for $925,00 gift card to Auto zone.
The mother, 12yo and 16yo daughters have moved out of their home due to safety reasons. The 16 year old child has a jeep that is in need of repairs. They have a family friend who is willing to do the repairs but the family needs to provide the parts, we are requesting a $925.00 gift card to Auto Zone to cover the cost of the parts needed. The 16yo has completed high school and works 30-40 hours a week at Wal-Mart, her work day ends after buses run, so she needs a vehicle to get back and forth to work. Due to the unforeseen circumstances of needing to find a new place to live in a hurry, the family can not afford these repairs. And it has been difficult for mom to provide transportation due to her own work schedule. The girl's father lives in eastern Colorado, so the girls need a working vehicle to visit him at his home because he does not drive.
If this need is met the 16yo will be able to continue to work and also start at the community college. This would also help the girls visit their father.

A biological mother is requesting a YMCA membership so that she can have her weekly parenting time with her daughter out in the community. A YMCA membership would allow for this mother and her daughter to swim and play basketball together during their visits. Their time together would be more fun and meaningful. The child already has a membership. We are asking for a 4 month membership for now. Thank you! We checked YMCA's website and the join fee is waved for adults right now!

15 yo female is placed in a kin like placement. At this time she has one end of the basement as her room, the area does not have a wall or a door. The family has 4 other children living in the home and this is the only appropriate space for the child to have her own space. A family friend who is a contractor is willing to put up a wall and door for the child to have their own privacy and is donating their labor but are requesting the $500 in materials to be covered. This would help to preserve this placement as a long term permanency option for this young woman. Requesting a $500 gift card to Lowes or Home Depot to purchase the materials.

The department is working with a family and all kids were removed from moms care. Mom is currently homeless and trying to get back on her feet. In order for mom to get caught up financially, she will need help paying for a hotel room at Laquinta for one month. We are asking for gift cards to pay for this. With a stable place to live we are hoping mom is able to get back on her feet and take steps towards reunification with her kids. She is greatly appreciative of any help. Thank you! Mom priced out how much it would cost to stay in this hotel, and with taxes it is just under $2000. Thank you for your consideration

This mother is navigating becoming the only parent in the home, with her 3 children. She works full time. This mother is in need of a gas card, as a family member is her only form of transportation currently and cannot afford to transport for free. The family car was wrecked in a hit in run, at no fault of the family. The children enjoy visits with their father, and the gas card will ensure mother can get the children to visits to keep the family bond strong. The mother also needs the gas card to ensure she can secure rides to pick up her kids from school everyday, also.

The department is working with a fostered youth who is currently in foster care. Currently the youth has no way of being able to pay for a monthly phone bill while attending school full-time. She has a phone she just needs gift cards to pay for a monthly service, once she gets established with either T-Mobile or Cricket. The youths phone is how they stay in contact with supports outside the foster home that keeps them going. Thank you all for your generosity! It is highly appreciated by the youth.
