A grandfather is raising his two grandsons and is actively pursuing full custody of the children through family court. The grandfather receives no help from the father of the children and the grandfather does not want to ask for help. He is humble, faithful and fighting so hard for his health and the children who so desperately need him and the stability he provides to their life. He is living off of a fixed income and hoping to get to Boston MA soon where his supports are but he cannot go until custody is granted. The grandfather remains so positive during trying times and always keeps a smile on his face. He has an upcoming electric bill that assistance in paying would be helpful, although he does not want to ask for the assistance. The children are in 4T-5T pull ups and go through these quickly. One of the children has to drink a lot of Pediasure drinks and all of his SNAP benefits go towards this and nothing else. If anything, this grandfather would greatly benefit from a community to surround him, pray for him and uplift him. He has become hopeless at times during this process, but he never stops smiling for these two young boys. He is a deserving man of any support and love that can be provided. After two years, five siblings: 9(F) 11(M) 11(M) 13(F) & 15(M) are finally being reunited with their parents. The parents have diligently fulfilled all components of their case plan, including improving their parenting skills and resolving safety concerns, demonstrating consistent stability and readiness for reunification

As part of these efforts, they have secured a stable new three-bedroom home to accommodate all five children, effectively addressing the core housing requirement for the transition. However, the family faces a significant barrier: they lack the necessary funds to furnish the home. Specifically, they need five sets of beds, mattresses, and comforters for the children’s bedrooms. This a vital step in the reunification process.

Providing these essentials will create a safe, comfortable environment conducive to overnight stays and will remove the last material barrier to reunification. A mother, her two younger children and her 21-year-old son are currently living in a hotel room. The mother is new to Florida and has been here for about one year now. She has been unable to work as she cares for the younger two children, one of which is diagnosed with autism and is on summer break from school. Without having childcare and no family or community supports; the mother has had to stay home to take care of them. Her adult son has managed to work two jobs for them to live in a hotel but on top of past due bills, they are struggling to make another week's payment to live in the hotel. She has stated that the hotel room is $582/weekly. The mother has been applying for jobs and is hoping to get back on her feet to get the children into childcare and move into an apartment.

Single mother of one just moved into her new place. The mother is currently seeking support to obtain essential household items to further stabilize their living environment. A dining room table would provide a central space for shared meals and family connection, while a dresser would help organize clothing and create a more comfortable, functional home. These items will contribute to a sense of routine, structure, and well-being for everyone in the household. Any help with these items would be so greatly appreciated.

A kinship caregiver is needing assistance with her rent payment for the month. The caregiver has taken in her 4-month-old nephew and due to buying all of the necessities that the child did not have, has come up short on her rent payment. In addition to her nephew in the home, the caregiver has 2 children in her home that will now be at risk of losing their housing. The caregiver is waiting for her caregiver funds to start and has only just started the process for foster care. If assisted, the caregiver and her family will continue to have stable housing and will not have the fear of losing it or having to find a new home. Any assistance is appreciated!

When the request is met the family will have continue to have a stable household without concern for housing.

The caregiver currently has placement of and is caring for one non-relative child in the dependency system. The caregiver is grappling with the grieving process after losing her husband very recently. The caregiver has not been able to work and is trying to move to a community that supports foster and kinship families. When the request is met, the caregiver will be able to submit her application and start the process of moving. The caregiver and child will have much more support in this community as well as have access to activities and necessary resources.

The caregiver currently has placement of her grandson. Due to the removal of the child, the caregiver relocated from Maryland to Tampa immediately and did not have time to make arrangements. Her move has been stressful and extremely expensive. The caregiver is in need of assistance with the bill for the moving company. The cost of the move is $189 per hour, and the caregiver is expecting it to take approximately 3 hours totaling $567. When the request is met, the caregiver and child will be able to smoothly transition into their new apartment without significant financial strain.

4. Description of Request: Mother is the sole caretaker for both of her children. Mom has a stable job and is working towards getting a second job currently. Mom is currently struggling with rent. Mom was able to pay May’s rent but is behind on June rent. If the family could receive half of their rent payment, $850, it would ensure that mom could get on track for July rent and they would be able to stay in their current home and allow mom to give the children a stable home environment.

Single mother of two, the mother is an immigrant to the United States and is seeking resources following a recent incident that impacted her and her children. She is currently residing with her sister in Pasco County and is actively seeking a safer and more stable living environment for herself and her children. Mother is working with an immigration attorney; however, the associated legal costs are becoming burdensome, and she is in need of additional support and guidance. Due to her current financial hardship and limited access to income, she is expressing a need for grocery assistance to help feed her children. This help would bring immense relief and allow her to focus on finding long-term stability for her family.

Single mother with a young child, is currently in need of continued hotel accommodation support. Due to limited space in her family’s homes and unstable housing circumstances, Ms. Thompson and her five-year-old child have been relying on temporary hotel stays. She is actively working to secure permanent housing; however, her efforts are challenged by fluctuating income and recent health issues that have impacted her ability to work consistently. Providing ongoing hotel assistance will offer mother and her child a safe and stable environment during this transitional period while she works toward securing long-term housing.

This Mother is a victim of recent Domestic Violence (DV) and is living in a DV shelter with her two young children. She is in need of transportation to take her son to daycare in Spring Hill and needs a purple line bus pass that will allow her to go from Pasco County to Hernando county. The bus pass is $30. Mother also has a car that does not currently work and needs a new transmission and engine so if there is anyone who either has a car or knows a mechanic who could take a look at her car that would be greatly beneficial to the mother as she is trying to get back on her feet. This caregiver is a mother to five children, all of whom are under the age of 5. Three of the children have developmental delays, and it is difficult for the entire family to go on outings as three of the children struggle with sensory needs that lead to elopement. The children have no sense of danger, and having this stroller wagon would provide the caregivers a sense of peace of mind when they go out into the community as a family.
