I'm working with a young, single mom who is trying to fix up her home so she can be reunified with her daughter who is currently in foster care. She's been working really hard to follow the guidelines she's been given and her floors were mentioned as needing repairs. She had previous water leaks in her kitchen, laundry room and bathroom that were repaired, but not done correctly and the floors dip in those areas. She's hoping to have everything in process and has been working diligently through the list given to her to complete. This mom has been through so much and could really use some help to get her daughter back. She's starting college next month and it would be so amazing to get her the help she needs before that time so she can focus on her future with her daughter.

Household: mother, 3 children (9 yo daughter, 7 yo daughter, 2 yo son). Mother and her children moved to their independent housing and still need help with kitchen basics and bathroom supplies. Mom suffers from muscle diseases, mitochondrial myopathy and rhabdomyolysis, and is unable to work or stand for long periods. She has been struggling in recent months after being hospitalized and having to learn to re-walk. Mom is working hard on finding time and energy to cook for her children. Any supports would be greatly appreciated! Things needed:

• Kitchen: pots & pans, baking sheets, silverware, serving spoons/forks, knives, kitchen towels, air fryer, oven mitts, paper towels, can opener, dish rack, floor mats;
• Cleaning supplies: vacuum, fabuloso/all-purpose cleaner, mop & self-wringing bucket, broom, laundry soap;
• Bathroom basics: body wash, lotion, towels, toilet paper

A mother to a toddler boy is in need of a new toddler bed. This mother is currently pregnant, so the crib that the toddler currently uses will need to be for the new baby when it arrives. Per First Care's policy, this item must be new.

I am working with single mother of two who is in urgent need of size 6 diapers and wipes. Her son uses Pampers or Huggies brand and the sensitive wipes due to being sensitive to other brands. Mom has an older daughter with disability/cerebral palsy so navigating food shelves/community providers to pick up diapers (provided they have babies size and brand) is a major challenge. Helping this mom with diapers will go a long way to ensure her baby has his basic needs met.

Client is a mom of 2, her oldest being 2 1/2 and her youngest being 6 months. Client is unable to work this summer due to the nature of her job and her post-partum recovery, and is in need of a booster seat for her toddler. Client said her toddler is on the smaller side, and is wanting a booster seat that can grow with her toddler. Receiving this item would not only ensure her toddler's safety, but also allow client to get out and travel more freely.

Parents are working with service providers to create a safe environment for their son (age 6) who has developmental delays and challenging behaviors. Due to the intensive needs of their son, one of the parents has not been able to work and the family recently moved into a safer home. The family needs help with cleaning supplies, household items, and hygiene products.

After recently giving birth to her second son, Mom is struggling to meet the basic needs for her sons (ages 8 yrs and 3 months). To help Mom focus on establishing a safe home, stability for her sons and connect with service providers, Mom needs help with household items, cleaning supplies, hygiene products, and baby supplies.

This client is in need of assistance in paying for all or part of her application fees for a US Green Card. She is actively working with a lawyer who told her she will need to pay for the I-130 and I-485 applications through the Department of Homeland Security that will cost $675 and $1,440.

The client is married to a US citizen which makes her ineligible for public assistance in paying these fees. The client has a daughter from her first marriage and is pregnant with the child of her current husband. The father of her older daughter passed away and her current husband is in the process of adopting her daughter which has been a large expense for their family. The client is in the US legally but is experiencing fears around being deported and separated from her husband and children. She is applying for a Green Card so that she can stay in the United States with her family. The client and her husband both work full-time and are able to pay their monthly expenses by also utilizing community resources like food shelves and First Care. Both the client and her husband are believers. Their paperwork should be ready in the next week and the only thing they need to move forward is the funding needed to apply.

53-year-old new mom is in need of a few items to ensure her new apartment is ready for her newborns. This mom has been wanting to be a mom for over 20 years and only recently was able to get pregnant via IVF. She is being induced on Friday (32 weeks) and is having twin identical girls. The father is not currently in the US, and the family is working with an immigration lawyer to try and get him here as soon as they can. Mom just moved into her current apartment last week. She is working on getting it all organized before she gives birth. She had several items in storage and is only needing a few bigger items for both the household and the babies.

The living room is 15x13. She would love a sectional and a recliner chair or a 3-seater and a 2-seater. She is expecting a lot of visitors to assist with the twins. Mom would love the recliner chair so she can put her feet up a relax. She is open to any combination of seating that is available and is grateful for anything.

Client is pregnant with triplets, and is getting very close to her due date. Client is still in need of baby items in preparation for her delivery, and feels overwhelmed with getting everything she needs in time. Client is especially in need of a stroller for her triplets before her delivery next month. Client isn't looking for anything specific, but per First Care's policy, all equipment items must be brand new.

Hello, I am working with a single mother of two (4month old boy and 2 year old girl) who currently resides at a shelter. This mother is hard working and resilient. She gave birth to twins but lost one of the babies not long after leaving the hospital. She is new to MN and still struggling to get acquainted to the resources and supports available. She is working with providers to get back on her feet and return to work as she has always been employed up till recently when she had the babies. This mother is needing blankets for her 4-month-old son, swaddles, feeding bottles, swing, double stroller, bouncy chair, pacifiers, bottle warmer, baby bathtub, wipes, size 5 and size 2 diapers. Providing these items will go a long way to meet the basic needs of the children and also give mom some financial relief.

Spanish speaking couple of low economic means is requesting both a soft baby helmet and a backpack pillow/head protector for their 10month old baby boy who is climbing upstairs and wanting to take his first steps. Per our organization's policy, we request only new items. Thank you very much.
